I have a somewhat vage idea of how to bring Shane into the SD! GM role. On the SD! after SummerSlam Kurt Angle comes down ranting about a rumor about Shane being the new GM since Vince is there he demands that he either confirm or deniy the rumor Vince asks if its true what will he do about it? Angle says he will boycot SD if Shane is named GM. Thats all I have right now so if any of y'all have anything to add feel free.

My point being that other than Heyman I see no other person for that role.

They should have gone with Shane running Raw and Stephanie (even though we can't stand her) ruining (sorry, running) SmackDown, like we thought they were before "The Hug".

After what Shane did to Kane, I never want to see him on TV, unless he is involved in a feud with JBL on Velocity.

I want to see an end to McMahons on TV.

I want to see an end to the overused authority figure as an excuse to put the face in an underdog role.

Putting a McMahon as an authority figure for the thirtyleventh billion time would make me a very sad person.

Authority figures and McMahons alike should be kept behind the scenes. They shouldn't be combined and shoved down our throats week in and week out.

If they bring back Steph as GM, I really hope they do some type of swerve with her and Angle. That way Angle can stay on top and use a relationship with Steph as a way to keep Angle as champ (if he were to win it again). Then you have the classic babyface chase story, say with Cena or Eddie trying to get at Angle.

However, I agree that the whole authority figure thing is played out, problem is people like Vince and Steph draw numbers on TV, so its unlikely that will end anytime soon.

As for Shane, I cant really think of a really creative way for him to come back. I guess they could play off the heat between Shane and Eric from before, Shane could sya he's going to take Eric (RAW) down. Or maybe they do some kind of thing where he wants to prove he can run something as a way of showing his Dad he's worthy.

But I think in terms of angles, Stephanie is the better way to go, even though she's extremely annoying.

I hope I'm miscounting and you're not honest to God suggesting that Linda McMahon should be on TV.

Stephen Spielberg* was not one of the stars of E.T.

Romero was not one of the stars of Night of the Living Dead.

Mel Gibson was not one of the stars of The Passion.

Tarantino was not one of the stars of Kill Bill.

HP Lovecraft did not write himself into Call of Cthulu.

Nor did Stephen King write himself into It.

I could go on for days. Vince McMahon does not need to stick himself in the show. An occassional appearance is alright, just for shits and giggles. But he doesn't need to hold the world title. He doesn't need to consistently screw the face. I like what he did on Smackdown!. A little cameo here and there is alright. Like Stan Lee in the Marvel movies. Y'know, just to make the fans giggle.

But funny? It wasn't funny when Shane totally fucked over Kane's credibility. It wasn't funny when Vince wrestled Stephanie in a PPV slot. It's never funny when Linda picks up a microphone. They're not FUNNY. Rarely does humor come out of the McMahon's taking up a WRESTLING show. Keyword is wrestling. Vince can barely wrestle. Shane can't. Stephanie can't. Linda can't. They're obviously not helping anybody get over when they do appear (not anymore, anyway), so they don't belong. If they're not wrestling or helping the wrestlers get over as wrestlers, then they don't belong. I know they've been involved in angles WITH wrestlers, but for the most part, the spotlight's been on the McMahons themselves.

Invasion angle. Seemed to be an awful lot about the McMahon power struggle. Not a good argument, I know, but you get the gist. Shane v Kane speaks for itself. I would rather just not see them. It screws over the wrestlers themselves too much. I know they're a draw (some of them...), which is why if any of them appear at all (I would prefer it just be Vince), they should be saved for short, one shot appearances. Cameo appearances. Just to rile the fans up. Nobody should have time to get used to the McMahon(s) being on television.

Just because they CAN be on TV doesn't mean they SHOULD.
