Yep, It's starting the show. This suggests to me that either
a) there will be some kind of dusty finish and the match will be extended
b) HHH and/or Benoit will have some kind of role later on in the night

I guess they want it to kick off the show to gain intrest and get solid ratings.
But the last Iron man match they televised did terrible ratings, fans only tuned in at the end to find out who won and that was it.
Bad move IMO, if they had 10 minutes over time that went past 10pm that would get them the decent ratings they need

Yeah, anyone hear the reaction when Bischoff announced the Iron Man match for RAW? The crowd was dead.
They should've saved it for a PPV. :nono:

I think most fans will tune in to this match at the very end, they'll get to see the big interference that ends the match and they dont have to sit through a 60 minute match, which most fans dont want to see.
As for the rest of the show, they will need to do a couple of those Divas Search segments, and they will have to shoot some angles to set up matches for Summerslam.
If the rumoured Orton-Benoit match goes through, my guess is that Orton has to win some type of match to earn the title shot and if Hunter-Eugene goes down, well that should explain itself based on the Iron Man match.
Throw in a Kane segment, something with Edge and thats the second hour done.

As, if I ever watch Raw I tape it, I'll probably fast forward most the match, and if anything interesting looks like it happened, I'll rewind.

Something major HAS to happen at the very end. They can't just treat the last hour + overrun like they would normally treat the first hour of Raw. I'm intrigued.

On The bottom line they only talked bout the Iron Man match and the Diva Search for being on next week.

Triple H loses after Eugene cost's him the match, Orton comes out says thats Hunter is pathetic and that he cant even beat Benoit.. says that he has had countless matches with Benoit for the title and lost everyone so Orton issues a challange for SummerSlam to Benoit for the World title, Bisch comes out says the match will go down and bam you got the Benoit/Orton match and then at the end when Eugene cost's Trips the match it sets up for a Triple H/ Eugene match and maybe during the last hour Batista will challange Edge for the IC title Edge accepts.. and bam...
and this is complete crap and there is zero chance this will happen.. just somthing i thought up...

Pros to tomorrow night's Raw: 2 hours of BEnoit.
Cons to tomorrow night's Raw: 2 hours of HHH.

That'd make ense, as it
's the reason they're doing a PPV match on TV anyways.

And here I thought giving a Neo-Nazi the title was a good decision. Great job WWE! Are you trying to let NWA/TNA take over as the number one promotion?
I think I'm working tomorrow night but I should be home by 9:30, so I will only miss the first half hour of the match. I guess it won't be a total loss, and I will tape it just in case. Benoit better freakin win, or a draw, but don't give Hunter the title.

Here's an interesting possibility: They start the show off with the match, but it doesn't go the full 1 hour. Something insane happens, like massive interference and beat down... maybe Benoit is like dropped 30 feet or something, and basically, he's taken out for the next four weeks or whatever. Basically, the Ironman Match ends in a no contest (despite how hard it'd be to attain that in this sort of match).
It'd be something new and give more time for other stuff.
It'd also be a very risky gamble.

That would have been Smackdown's Iron Man match. Kurt Angle -vs- Brock Lesnar. This match was a terrible waist, in my opinion. Here, these two great wrestlers had an opportunity to put on a great wrestling match. Instead, all we got was an hour of Brock Lesnar running away from Kurt just to push himself as a heel..... just a huge letdown. :nono:
Well, I hope that Triple H and Chris Benoit get a chance to do a better job.

I'm not looking forward to this match. The Ironman Match is one of the worst gimmick matches out there. There's no way it could have my, or most people's, attention for an entire hour. The start of the match will get decent ratings, the end of the match will get great ratings, but basically, the main event of the show was at the begining so I bet people tune out the second hour.
I'd love to see a Y2J Highlite reel after the match. But what's going to be the "main event" of the show? Nothing of interest I assume. I sure hope it's not a promo, as I think promo main events are the biggest rip off there is.

The second hour+ will give HHH an oppertunity to scream at Bischoff about losing the match. Bischoff will make it up to him by making some kind of elimination #1 contender's match. The odds will be stacked in HHH's favor, with all of evolution in the match. Everyone will be eliminated except HHH, Orton, and a face. Eugene will come out and will interfere, eliminating HHH, and Orton will be standing there like "Well now what the hell do I do?" and he'll figure he can win and does.
Other things that need to be included: Diva search, Edge continuing to turn heel (which could be included in the elimination match) Perhaps a vignette with Lita saying "I'm pregnant!" Jericho coming face to face with Batista (I have a feeling they'll wrestle @ the SS) and a women's match.....ok, scratch the women's match.
