As anyone that follows TNA knows, Jeff Hardy signed a contract with the company at last week's PPV. Now that Hardy is officially under contract he will be undoubtedly pushed as a main attraction in TNA right from the get-go. I have heard rumors that Hardy will defeat Monty Brown at this week's PPV, as TNA really wants Hardy to have a title shot against Jeff Jarrett in hopes that he can give a little kick to the PPV buyrates.
Alex Shelley signed a contract with TNA on 7/8. There is no word on whether Shelley will stick with his Ring of Honor commitments unless TNA and ROH settle their differences. TNA is letting Shelley work the dates that he has already commited to, but other than that is unknown at this time.
Shelley has also been telling everyone backstage that he had no input regarding the "Baby Bear" name that TNA management gave to him.
I don't know what TNA is thinking by putting Jeff Hardy against Jeff Jarrett.
Jarrett is already hated enough, and Hardy got booed right out of ROH.

Alex Shelley is fantastic, hopefully he can still work ROH shows. But TNA has really been raping ROH of talent.

You really should have seen his TNA debut if you are concerned about fan reaction.

Not saying I like him, just noting he did get a fucking huge reaction. Then again, anything to get the camera off Dusty's fat ass would make me mark out like a schoolgirl at a Ricky Martin show.

Hardy can main event for a short time, but if they put the belt on him, it'll be suicide. Jeff Hardy looks as threatening as Jim Ross. He does not have a champion's image.

Plus, the more he wrestles, the less people will give a fuck. Come on, you have amazing Cruisers in the NWA, and they're not as restricted as Jeff's former competition in the WWE.
A silly little Swantom is bullshit comapred to some of what these guys are pulling off.

The ROH fans are far more 'smart' mark fns than the TNA crowds, so I doubt there will be any problems

I never watch TNA as I don't get it but I think i read once that they tell the crowd who to cheer and who to boo. Maybe that's why Hardy got a huge pop?

Yeah right before the tapings begin they give the crowd a rundown on how TNA is different from other wrestling shows and they ask the crowds to please boo the heels and cheer the faces. I don't think people follow that though as I hear people cheer for Michael Shane sometimes.
