Who's gonna be in the main event? Will it be Orton and Benoit. I know it won't be JBL and Taker. Eddie and Angle would be good, but it won't main event

I'm going for Benoit/Orton. Poll coming...

The SD Main Event was second to the RAW main event at WM... I say Kurt and Guerrerro get the spotlight at Summerslam.

They most likely won't....but it's good to dream.

I would love for it to be Orton Vs Beniot with Orton willing but sadly for some reason in my head I see HHH Vs Eugene some way making its way to the top of the card

No one ever remembers to put spoiler warnings up. But it will definitely be Randy Orton and Chris Benoit.

Its a tough call, Ive been thinking about this over the weekend.

Last year they main evented the EC over Kurt-Brock, but that seemed to make sense because its hard to follow a gimmick like EC with a regular match (even though the Angle match was better).

But this year there is no clear main event type match. Eddie-Angle should have the most heat and will likely be the best, so there's a case to be made for them. Only way I see JBL-Taker getting the last spot is if Taker is getting the strap, which I dont believe is the case (of course that could change at any time). Eugene-HHH is close to Angle-Eddie in terms of build/heat and since its an HHH match, there is a good chance it will go on last. Also, since there is a good chance Eugene will win, I think it could go on last. Orton-Benoit has the leats amount of build and Benoit is frequently pushed aside, so that could happen again. However, I picked this match because its the one with the most likelyhood of seeing a title switch, so I can see them going with this one as the last match.

At the end of the day the order doesn't really matter, all 4 matches will probably get advertising, so who goes last isn't really much of anything. But its definately tough to call.

I had this thread up before RAW. All the talk about Orton vs Benoit was a given. Now it's official.

I say Orton vs Benoit is last

1) It's a title match
2) If Orton wins, good
3) If Benoit wins, good
4) Angle vs Eddie isn't a title match
5) Trips vs Eugene isn't a title match and as Cynick said, Eugene is most likely going to win.
6) All that's left is Taker vs JBL. And it's a title match. :shifty:
