to win the title at SS or WM?

And what would the fans pop bigger for.

This is kinda like Heyman's "Discussion's or Questions" type thread. But I intend to try to keep it like my own, thus calling it "The Playa's Proclamation"

Anyhow, lets get to the business at hand first. Would it be better for Orton to win the title at SummerSlam or at WM?

Scenario 1: Orton defeats Benoit at Summerslam. Orton then goes on a lengthy run only to lose it to HHH at WM 21. Shortly after WM 21, Orton turns face to feud with a heel HHH for the title and wins it at Summerslam 2005.

Scenario 2: Benoit defeats Orton in a stip match (preferably ladder) but Orton barely loses. HHH also loses to Eugene at SummerSlam. The next night on Raw Evolution comes out, minus Orton. HHH says that even though he lost to Eugene he demands another title shot. Orton then comes out and says to HHH something along the lines of "You lost to a retard at SS why should you get a title shot". HHH is furious and they are about to go to blows when Bischoff comes out and announces a fatal four way between Orton, HHH, Edge and let's say Kane. During the match Trips goes to hit Edge with a chair but accidently hits Orton. HHH then hits the Pedigree on Edge and picks up the4 victory. It adds more heat to HHH and Orton feud that is going to be near. These 2 inadvertenly have words until the Royal Rumble when HHH beats Benoit and Orton wins the Rumble. The two have a lot of words and suddenly HHH just nails Orton a week before WM21. Orton then goes to WM and beats "The Game"

If I had to pick it, I would choose Scenario #2, not because of the detail I gave, but of the buildup that would ensue from it. It could definitely before the match begins, be a classic and live up to be a classic.

Another question is: Which would the fans care more about, him winning it at SS or WM

SS: I think the fans would percieve this to be too predictable. The casual fans would go crazy about it, for us it would be so predictable. And when I mean us I mean the 60% of the WWE's fans that just would see it coming.

WM: Have Orton do what Benoit did last year, but have him start at #2. Have Orton go against the odds and go through 28 men. Imagine the comparisons. Then imagine the pops when a turning face Orton beats a mega heel HHH. Orton could do a little cry thing similar to what Benoit did when he won the title.

However, the buildup between RR and WM though must focus on HHH and Orton. Every Raw should have a little plot twist between the two until HHH hits the Pedigree on Orton to end the last RAW before WM 21.

My Proclamation: Even though I want Orton to go over Benoit at SS. That is only because I'm a huge Randy Orton mark. It would make a lot more sense for the WWE to save that for WM 21. The buyrate would be higher, and I think the fans would appreciate it a little more. This fan would for sure.

Comments/Flames/Thoughts are always welcome

I am starting to like Randy Orton, then you Orton Marks piss me off because you make me realize just how damn overrated he is.

He is good, but even WM 21 is WAY to early for Randy. Let him border on getting the gold until WM 22.

It will add meaning to his win, and it won't piss on Benoit DAMN IT.

I see one problem with the eventual face turn. We know Orton can play a heel, but how well can he play a face? Granted, he was green as hell, but his first face run bombed. Granted, the fans do want to cheer him, but the same thing happened with Cena, and he got stale real fast.

That's because Cena as a face requires the constant use of the word "poop". That will kill anybody's heat.

Nah, Cena got stale before he started using the poop jokes. If I recall, that just started somewhat recently.

The way they're pushing him, Summerslam is too early and WM21 is too late. UNLESS they can come up with a good storyline that has him taking the Rumble, they should give it to him at Survivor Series.

I would go with Summerslam. You get to test him out as a main eventer, and you still get to save his first babyface title win for another year or so down the road (ie in late '05 or 2006). Plus, the more I think of it, the more I think they need HHH to be a babyface going into '05 because of the movie stuff.

At least with HHH as a babyface they will finally have a strong babyface who you know they wont jerk around. Fans will at least be able to get behind him, and not have to cheer for the heel group on the show (althouhg I'm sure a lot of fans will continue to cheer Orton and Batista).

If they waited until Wrestlemania, I think it would almost be obvious to the fans that he would get it. It was obvious about Lesnar, and it was kind of obvious about Benoit. Wrestlemania needs to be a little more random.

Orton should get the title at Survivor series. The Koala has spoken.

Don't worry, it won't be like this all the time. Trust me my next one is going to be a doozy.

I don't think Orton should win at SS. I'd rather see him get cost the title "accidnently" by Triple H. build up the heat between them. Have the fans split over which one they like more, without actually forcing them to decide. Then at Survivor Series have an Elimination Match go up in smoke, leading to a lengthy feud between the two. I'd keep the title off Orton while making him look like a mixture beween Stone Cold and The Rock. At WrestleMania 21 have Orton beat Triple H cleanly, but have Evolution gang up on Orton. Have Orton either lead an "Anti-Evolution", or play the lone wolf. I'd have Triple H win the title from whoever at a PPV like Vengeance, then have Triple H defend against Orton one year after Triple H cost him the belt. Have Orton go over extremely cleanly, and have Orton hold the title for a long time. Maybe even past 'Mania 22. :y:

TS6's Proclamation: I want to see Team Christian take a permanant power role on Raw.

Here's how it happens:

Orton wins the title belt, HHH gets pissed, blah blah blah....we've heard this all before. In the ensuing power struggle, Evolution splits into a bickering threesome, and eventually into nothing at all. Flair, Batista, HHH, and Orton all work as singles wrestlers now, equally sharing feuds with one another. Meanwhile, they fail to notice that Edge has joined back with Christian (Having recently turned heel again).

One day, HHH has a brutal faceoff with Batista and Flair in the ring. His former allies now nip at his haunches like ferral wolves. The three start duking it out when Christain's music hits. Out walk team Christian, a humorous promo follows as Edge and Tomko easily dispose of the weakened "Evolution" and Christian taunts them somehow. (Personally, I'd love to see him do a pose where he stands on the apron like trips, but instead of spitting water, he blows on one of those little party horns. Funny stuff my friends.)

Why I like this idea:

It reminds me of that "The new kills off the old" thing that the nWo had going on When they killed off the 4 horsemen. Sure, the nWo thing sucked ass, but in this case, they're killing guys who were just recently the top dogs (getting a push), while the nWo killed off the up and comers who were going to take out nWo....(holding down the talent).
