Am I the only one who has an unhealthy obessions with games that are older than yourself (more or less..) In my opinion I think Nintendo and Super Nintendo have better games than they make for Gamecube. You can't beat Double Dragon 2!! (No really, you can't... the boss of the game can kill you in three hits..) And what about Super Mario Bros 3?! Anyone else willing to fess up to their addiction for the old school gaming?

Well they aren't older than me, but nothing beats some good ol' NES games. Contra, Mega Man 2, and The Legend of Zelda are among some of the best games ever made.

the games of today dont' suck, they're just more complicated than you can handle JZ :D

those old skool games are fun, but i'd rather run around in a 3D environment and interact with almost everything rather than run in one direction trying to get to the "end" of a scrolling 2D game with lame graphics that are only fun to play due to nostalgia

I like old school games way more than any games that come out today.

Mario is always fun. I'm sure there are others that I enjoy but I can't be arsed to think of them.

Oh I forgot to add, she's right. I never could beat Double Dragon 2 :nono: I'm pretty sure I never even got to the last level.

Gohan3k, list one game for gamecube you can't beat. That's right, NES games are much more challenging. Fakerazor youre awesome :) Mario is annoying, because my copy freezes at certain parts.. frigger. And of course I'm right!! I got past the annoying clone, copy bad guy, which is the second last, but I couldnt beat the last horrid boss. As opposed to every other charact4er in the game, he can take away 3-4 damage with one attack! That's so unfair-- none of the other bad guys can oprepare you for that major ass whoopin'

I downloaded a Nes emulator and 709 games a couple of weeks ago. The only game I have completed so far is Maniac Mansion and I can't be arsed to play any other games yet. I used to have Double Dragon 1 and 2 on the Game Boy, easy games:y:

Some of the greatest games for NES are:

* Contra
* Super Mario Bros 3
* Megaman 2
* Ice Hockey
* River City Ransom
I can't seem to remember any more. Damn video games it ruined my ability to... Uhhmmm... Yeah.

Of course this is just my opinion though.

These are my fav NESs from a similar thread http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17179 (But that was only about fav NES games)

SMB 1-3
Mega Man 1-6
McKids (I loved that game for some reason, even if it WAS an advertisement)
Snow Brothers
Yoshi (A puzzler like Yoshi's Cookie, only not with cookies :shifty: )
Yoshi's Cookie
Bee52
Micro Machines
Kirby's Adventure
Bart vs. the Space Mutants
Bartman Meets Radioactive Man
Yo! Noid (Another advertisement that I liked)
Dr. Mario
Felix the Cat
Pinball
Bubble Bobble
Rainbow Islands
WWF King of the Ring (I also have it on GameBoy)
Duck Hunt
Paperboy
Battle Toads
Battle Toads/Double Dragon
Baseball

When I play a game, USUALLY, graphics dont mean jack shit... FF7, for instance, had shitty graphics by today's standards, but I could go back and play that game for hours... Same thing with NES... Even though it didnt even have shading, the games were great.... It's the gameplay that counts... Thats why I gotta get my ass out and buy a few of the classic NES titles...

SNES and Genisis was great too... Graphics improved, but again, didnt mean anything to me... I loved SMW and Yoshi's Island... Stunt Race FX ruled too... So many others... I played my first game when I was 3, it was SMB... I never beat it, but had a shitload of fun...

The Castlevania series was my favorite.

And Ninja Gaiden. I spent hours playing that game, Got a sore thumb from pressing the button so much.

Blades of Steel and Dodge Ball is what we used to play when we were drunk. I swear that Blades of Steel game cheats! :rant:
