Best show ever.
Just got the second series video.
Never heard of it, or the two you compared it to.

America is deprived. How about Faulty Towers or Father Ted did they make it over?

All I've ever seen are Chef! (hilarious), Keeping Up Appearances (:-\) and Are you being served (pretty funny when I was 12).

Seriously, if you can get your hands on any Alan Partridge, do it.

Fawlty Towers did.
Heh.
I've seen one of the episodes of the American version of Fawlty Towers. I have no problem with remakes, provided they stick to the original material, but why in gods name did they try to make Basil more likable? Its like making David Brent a good comedian.
On Alan Partridge - I love the character, and every show it has been in. My friend has gotten kind of obsessed with him lately, changing a lot of his MSN sounds to his mannerisms, plus he keeps quoting him at every oppurtunity.

I haven't seen that show in yyyyeeeeeaaaaaarrrrsss. I remember watching it when it was first broadcast and it was absolutly awesome back then...even though I barely remember any of it.
