Sorry, I just need to rant a bit, when i first saw mordecai i instantly became a mordecai mark, he completely destroyed everyone he wrestled with, i loved his gimmick, the Mordecai charact4er was just down right amazing, one of the best new gimmicks out there, his promos were amazing, and he did have wrestling skill, i blame his bad match at the great american bash on hardshit holley, and they decide to send him back to ovw and then kill his gimmick, i mean wtf, he's wrestling as kevin fertig now, with short black hair, mordecai's gone, and i'm really pissed off at this, i'm listening to his music on winamp right now, and it kills me to know i'll never see his awesome entrance again, nor the feud with undertaker i was waiting for, when i bought tickets to summerslam, i thought i'd see the two face each other there live, but no, send him to ovw and kill his fucking gimmick. Stupid ass WWE :mad:

I didn't really like Mordecai that much. I, for one, see way to many squash matches in the WWE, and thats all his matches were. We all knew that they couldn't have this new guy lose, because they needed him to be a convincing opponent for the Undertaker. I, for one, was not looking forward to having to watch ANOTHER guy bury the Smackdown! roster for the next couple months.

I liked the gimmick and all, and hey, they might even bring him back.

Yeah I liked the character as well. Although I wasn't a big fan of his promos but they could have only gotten better. He seemed to know his way around the ring too. Maybe they'll bring him back after he gets a little more fine tuned. I thought it was fascinating how Mordecai, the religious character dressed in white and carrying a cross-like staff, was a heel and The Undertaker, a dark character who wears all black and has risen from the dead about 10 times, is a face. I remember there being footage of Fertig practicing his entrance at Judgement Day before the show went on the air. I wonder if that had anything to do with the killing of the Mordecai character.

I enjoyed the Mordecai character when it first debuted. He couldn't showcase much skill because he was mainly involved in squash matches, so I don't blame him at all. People say that he was too small to play his character, but if he did crazy enough things, I think he could have pulled it off. I blame the scrapping of Mordecai on the Smackdown bookers/judges of talent . They should have realized that he was still green, and waited a few more months to bring him on Smackdown. Add another name to the long list of 'premature ejaculations' on the WWE's part.

I really hated the way they jobbed the Mordecai character. I first new he was going down in white flames when I saw that segment on SmackDown! when he and Holly were "brawling". All it made him do was look like the bigger Hurricane. If i was the lead force behind WWE booking, I'd have had him have no particular target for weeks. Have him air promos weekly, but no Eddie Guerrero references, or no Undertaker references. Build him up with his Razor's Edge finishing move. Call it something like The Radiant Guild or something. Have him sustain any kind of punishment. Have him as the no pain kind of guy. Instead he looked more like Joe Blow in white spandex.

I'd be happy if Mordecai returns to the WWE under the Mordecai gimmick, the Seven gimmick or a completely new one. I wouldn't mind seeing one called "Domino" or something. Maybe one side could be the "light" side, and the other could be the "dark" side. His logo could be something like half a Holy Cross on one side, and half an upside down one on the other one. :y:

I liked Mordecai. It was a cool character and he had decent mic skills. I feel that the WWE pushed him too quickly. They should have noticed that he was really nervous before going out and they should have noticed that he was green. He shouldn't have come from OVW for another 6 months or longer.

The Mordecai gimmick was sweet. I offered SD something a bit different. It's shame, if the writers would have had more patience and played the thing out slowly like THEY SHOULD, then we'd have a kick ass gimmick in the ring. Instead, they gave it all away too early, saw a little bit of apathy from the crowd and pulled it.
