Thats what the buzz is about. Apparently he doesnt want to be the # 4 receiver on a team and wants to go somewhere where he'd be a # 1 or retire.

Dunno the full story but Im sure more is going to come out later today on this

he should retire a raider, but I'm sure he'll go somewhere else.

Cry about it timmy.

Seriously, he shouldn't have been the #1 receiver last year. I guess he feels he should get special treatment for being there so long?

Yeah, they were gonna use him as the 4th or 5th reciever in Oakland. That would be a little crazy to see. I don't know where he could go this year where he could have a big role on the team AND have a shot at winning a championship.

The Rams do need a good #3 to draw coverage away from Holt/Marshall/Ike

Actually, KC's recievers are pretty bad.

I would just retire. These players that try to play forever when they have nothing left make a mockery of themselves.

LOL. God forbid someone does what he loves for as long as he possibly can.

Remember, football players are humans... and most of them love the sport.

I'd rather see an old man try his best to keep playing until he can no longer walk under his own power, than to see someone make millions in the sport and walk away when he feels he has enough money, having never actually loved playing.

Tim Brown > Ricky Williams, definitely.

I can't hate on any old man trying to extend his dream a little farther. Even if you end up being a hinderance. i.e. I love Eddie George.

There is a point at which you don't have it anymore. Too many players these days don't realize that. Emmitt Smith really took a turn for the worst when he signed with AZ.

People still pay to watch Hogan, no matter how useless he is.

Same with Jordan... he was a name...

That's what Emmitt is all about.

Brown, I don't know about wanting to be #1, but I think he could still play. Especially with the ranks of WRs around. And at a high level. And I think that's his right, because whether it's a spectator sport or not, it's still a profession, and when he's done playing, there aren't many options left.

So :y: I can't hate on any players playing for too long. I used to think it was bad, but I was an idiot then.
