The game is far from coming out, mind you, so this is mostly just to see who's interested. I know that myself and Ant are definitely getting the game when it comes out. RBM is too, I'm pretty sure, along with many of his clanmates from Warcraft. So that's a few people right there. I have a friend that's interested in playing it too (plus maybe his friend as well), so there's another 1-2 to party with. I'm guessing that since he got the beta, sucafrutpi may be interested as well. Is anybody else planning on getting this? We can get a group of maybe 8-12 of us and just go around in a group and play, would be pretty sweet.

Not yet no, but we probably will do in the end, so if you bought that too don't worry ;)

Get on MSN or something and we can get a game going :@

Can't play due to my shitty ISP having shitty problems with their shitty internet service, which is creating shitty inconveniences for me because I can't get all my stuff back after I got that shitty virus. And I'm posting in the shitty computer lab at my shitty college.

That's all fine and well, but there's like 3 other AoM topics already.

I'm looking for people interested in playing World of Warcraft

I do berieve I answered your topic with "Possibly".

I like the concept of the game, now I just need time to play it and money to burn. Also, when is the scheduled release date?

You should all just join my friends' group. :shifty: Way of the Bushido... Got about 7-8 hardcore Everquest players right now, and all are going to quit EQ and get WoW when it comes out.. All but like 2 of us live by eachother.

I can't wait..

Or, if you plan on playing on the Hoard vs. Alliance PvP server, we could just make a big guild or somethin.

What characters are you guys gonna start off as?

I know i'm gonna end up making one of each class, but it would be cool if we had like one of each char all playing in the same game or something.

Night Elf Hunter/Human Mage for me :o

Yep, from what I've read mages are one of the most overpowered classes right now.

The more I read about it the more I want to play it. From all the reviews of people who have played the beta that I've read, it sounds really really good. I'm just hoping that since it is pay-to-play, that Blizzard doesn't let it get ruined like Diablo 2 is.

Its really great, just very very different from Diablo 2

No I know that, I was talking about the duped items/bots/hacks and stuff that run rampant in D2 :o:o

Buzzkill
08-11-2004, 11:00 PM
Yeah, I doubt WoW will degrade to that, lots of security measures it seems. Also, the pay-to-play will cover the cost of added CS and GM's (Game Masters)

No way in hell there will be many dupes/bots/hacks in WoW.

Most MMORPGs are pretty protected against hacks and such. I've been a long time player of MMORPG's, and the only huge problem I've seen with 'hacks' is in Everquest, where people have been able to trick the system into making them not show up on the /who list for the zone they're in.

Most games will also ban for a first offense that involved a hack/dupe, unless of course you report the dupe.

Not to mention, the amount of time spent beta testing will mean that most bugs like that will be long gone, and if they aren't will be weeded out most likely very soon.
