This week I have seen some decent British bands live, tonight it was Douglas who will sadly split up after this tour.
On Monday it was My Awesome Complimation and the newly re-juvinated Not Katies who have changed loads after they're time on Trouble TV.
Anyone else seen some decent British bands live lately.

Saw Slade (not the original line up) at the Rock and Blues. Going to see Motörhead in November.

I haven't seen a good British band in a long time. Hopefully I should be going to the Do The Dog gig in London on the 14th which has about 5 or 6 British bands. I urge anyone who likes their ska to go.

CooL. They kept playing Ace Of Spades tonight.
So Noddy wasn't singing, they're from near me.

Last Brit band I saw live was Razorlight back in April, and they were excellent. I was blown away, one of the best gigs I've been to, even if it was a touch short.

Saw Franz Ferdinand a couple of weeks before that, and they were immense too. Really into their live performance.

Going to see the Darkness supported by Ash in 3 weeks.

Thinking about it, I don't think I've even seen a British band headlining a gig before.

I have only seen two non-brittish band, the chillis and Electric Six and most of the gigs I have been to were ace. I have seen Radiohead (the best), Oasis, Feeder, Mull Historical Society and Travis (twice) and each was really good - great. Only bad gig I have been to was Idlewild which was ruined by this s****y support group called Laeto or something like that. They crushed my spirit and I wasn't looking forward to Idlewild anymore. Can't remember much of that gig.

I've seen Laeto opening for Cave In, personally I thought they weren't too bad...

Douglas?

I've seen them and know they were good. But I can't remember where.

I've missed Not Katies twice now. They played Frome once, when I wasn't in town and Swansea (along with Spunge and some other bands I havent heard of) about a week ago but I missed it due to not being able to drag anyone along.

Fair Enough, each to their own.

I saw them in May in London, they played a pretty long set, a good mixture of old and new material.

I'd love to see them again, AND The Darkness on the same bill.

I heard they (Ash) were gonna support the Chilis, but that was only at Murrayfield, and Hyde Park got stuck with Chicks on Speed....

They've supported Hundred Reasons and Lostprophets I think.
Not Katies are cool live, not the best but decent for only a fiver.
