He doesn't HAVE too. He could lose it at the next Pay-Per-View (which is what could happen). Plus, he's a better wrestler than either Goldberg or Hunter, and at least carries people in the ring. And he doesn't get injured every match ala Hunter or fall flat on his face or trip ala Gorillaberg...

The WWE loves to have hometown hereos lose and get punked out in front of their their hometown, so I see Michaels losing and catching a stiff beatdown from Evolution. I would love to see Michaels get the title though, and take it to WrestleMania to face Jericho.

I totally agree with the hometown thing. For whatever reason, the WWE thinks its good business to have hometown guys JOB in their hometown.

I think this match will see Hunter's opponent for RR set up. I have no clue who that will be, but I would guess HBK will catch a beating and Hunter's next challenger will run down to make the save. Possibility it could be RVD.

I would love to see that as well, especially if Jericho were to win the title from HBK.

However I think we all know that aint gonna happen.

Maybe they could convince Hunter that being in the tag match at Mania with Orton against Rock n Sock would be higher on the card than the World Title match. Then that way he could drop it to HBK, and we could have HBK-Jericho for the World Title, which would be an awesome match. It could happen............. couldn't it?

Ive heard them say that, but I think when they say 'anything' they actually mean 'Hunter will win with a Pedigree clean in the middle'.

I believe that while Triple H is a great compeditor, him holding the title is going to start leaving some bad tastes in the mouths of those who believe that his 11 month reign was horrid due to him burying all the potential people viable for that title shot (what good is the champion if he doesn't have any challengers). This is the reason why the WWE needs to get the title off of Trip ASAP, even if it is to a transitional champion. If too many start to think the same way that they felt about his last World Title reign, the WWE is going to see RAW's ratings slip to where they were before (although RAW's ratings stagger me, because they don't have as much mustard behind their shows as SmackDown would have because of their respective rosters).

As for Shawn Michaels getting the title tonight, I don't know if that could happen. We could see it happen, as Triple H had jobbed (or lost, or whatever you want to call it) to Goldberg two times for the title before getting it back at Armageddon. However, if Triple H would win, and Jericho could turn face, we could see a Jericho/Trip title match at Royal Rumble. Either that, or have Jericho winning the Rumble and going to Wrestlemania (I can see that RAW could get that final match on the WMXX card for the title, because the WWE seems to be focusing all their creative tanks towards the RAW brand now rather than to SmackDown, another decison which bothers me), and Jericho winning that title. But there is a downside to that, and that is that Trip would have to be champ for another 3 or 4 months, which is probably longer than most would like to see him as champ, fearing another horrid 11 month run. Which means that it's CRITICAL that Trip drop that title ASAP. To who, though, is another question.
