I just got back from the smackdown tapings tonight at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. the crowd was hot tonight, the biggest pops came from Taker and Cena.
Spike Dudley beat Paul london with a roll up, and pulling of the tights. Billy kidman came down with london, and the Dudley boys came down with spike. through out the match the D-boys and Billy taunted each other, and then after spike won, the Dudley's beat down london, and billy.
The next match was Nunzio against Chavo, with Nunzio winning. I didn;t see how, as I raced to the bathroom. The match was pretty basic, with not much exciting happen.
the fourth match was Taker against Orlando Jordon, with Taker winning with the choke slam. The crowd was super hot during the whole match. Taker did his usual stuff, and beat Jordon pretty easily, and then JBL laid him out, and he sat up a few moments later. he stared at OJ and JBL, and then did the kneeling thing.
The last Match was the Summer Games Relay Match. the two teams were: 1) Booker T, Renee Dupree, Luther Reigns 2) John Cena, Charlie Haas, RVD. very intering concept, for everyone who doesn't know, this is how it goes:
1. its a one fall match.
2. every five minutes if a pinfall, submission, countout, or DQ hasn't happened, then someone from a team gets a turn in. then it starts all over.
it started with booker T and RVD in the ring...they fought for a bit, and after five minutes, Booker T switched with Luther Reigns. RVD and reighs slowed things down, and then after another five minutes, RVD switched with charlie haas. Haas, and Reigns sped things up, using some higher impact moves, and after five minutes Reigns switched with Dupree. Dupree and Haas fight for another five minutes, and then Haas switched with Cena. Cena fought with Dupree, and hit the DVD right at the bell for Booker to come back in. Booker hit one of his finishers, and ended it. then the faces cleared the ring to end the show.
Off Camera:
After the Cameras stopped rolling, Cena talked about how Detroit was the under dogs during the NBA season, and how no one thought we would win. he said he is alot like detroit, and how he would win. that got a great crowd reaction.
Over all, the show was good...and it should come off good on TV, and the crowd was very very good!
