View Full Version : What would stop you from watching WWE?

Just wondering if there was something that the WWE could do that would stop you watching, because I cant think of anything. If he screwed someone over (like he did Bret) on TV would you stop watching? Is there any angle that would make you stop watching? Just thinking whether there is anything Vince can do that would stop people watching.

I could tell you what would make me more interested. When/If HHH gets a divorce cause then I'll be watching HHH job on Sunday Night Heat!
Back on topic, the only thing that could make me lose interest (not quit watching altogether) is if they did anymore 'gay' angles like Billy and Chuck, I would probably just lose a lot of respect for whoever those 2 guys are. Besides, we can't get much lower than what Rico is right now, the Katie Vick angle, McMahon McMahon McMahon, and HHH championship triple run.

I think you will stop watching wrestling very soon. But don't worry, it's not like he's going to actually win it.

And it's not like he'll actually miss anything important if he gives up right now.

Bruno Sammartino, Killer Kowalski, or Stan Hansen putting over Randy Orton:
You know Vince would want to do it if he could. (Though if Randy pissed off Stan, watching Stan just beating the hell out of Orton would be entertaining.)

Its just that WWE is pretty sick and people still continue to watch it, and I cant think of an angle that would be so sick or offend people so much more than nechrophylia, rape, murder etc that people would stop watching it.

I don't think there is any certain angle that would stop me from watching. The only thing would be not enough time to watch it and eventually stop watching all together. Who knows when that could be, though.
I don't know that there is anything that would make me completly stop watching it forever, but when the product gets bad enough, I'll stop watching for periods of time until it improves.
I'd stop watching if they put Big Show in a bra and panties match

If Triple H is still champion by the end of tonite, I'll stop watching. Not that its horrible, I just need to focus more on school, work and my various hobbies. Wrestling is too distractig sometimes. I have about 1 million things that I should be doing besides watching wrestling every Monday night. I gotta get my head screwed on straight.

I don't think one singular event can make me stop watching wrestling.
I love the sport too much.
It has to be a constant decline in the product, which will make me even consider it.

Well, seeing as how I've decided to stop watching RAW after last night *spoilers within*, here are my reasons:
* NO MORE F***ING AUSTIN! The character is old, the man is old, and I guarantee the crowd would pop louder for a NEW superstar than they will for this flabby, washed-up redneck.
* Pointlessness of angles. This goes back to the Austin thing. If I don't believe that the big payoff matches at pay-per-views don't mean anything, why should I watch the free stuff? If the TV shows are basically build-up for the PPVs and the PPVs are unsatisfying...
* Jim Ross. I was thankful for the fact that this week he didn't compare any wrestlers or GMs to Saddam Hussein, but the fact that I had to hope for that is disgusting. Not only is JR unentertaining on the mic, he's becoming downright offensive. What, pray tell, is a French sympathizer?
* Jerry Lawler. While not as bad as JR, Lawler has definitely lost the humor that made him the best color man in the business five years ago. Now, he's just a lecherous old man who is basically another face announcer except when it comes to Chris Jericho and Evolution.
* Last night's women's match. As much as I would love to see where this Victoria/Molly thing goes, I'm disgusted by the fact that they made Victoria run from Stacy. I'm disgusted by the fact that they made Trish, Vicky, and Molly dress up in those ridiculous costumes. Bah, I could go on...
* The de-push of Eric Bischoff. Why have a general manager if nothing he ever does stands? He fires Lita, no wait she's back. He fires Michaels, no wait he's back. He sets up matches, no wait let's add someone else to them. It's insulting to my intelligence.
That's just a few of many. Looks like I'm a SmackDown guy again.

Actually, alot of things could make me watch less...
1. Anyone holding a title for over 6 months. This completely is useless. It generally just kills the title and several wrestlers...
2. If they try to push more of Mark Henry and A-Train, while burying GOOD workers.
3. Bradshaw, Dudleys, Goldberg, Austin, and JR.
And the rest has probably been mentioned...

Same with me. I've been a fan since I was about 4 years old (I'm 20 now), but I've gone a couple periods where I stopped watching for a year or two.

First of all, #2 is a given, just to get that out of the way.
I'm not so sure about #1. I think long title reigns are acceptable as long as there are enough good storylines and title feuds going on to draw attention away from it.
#3... I like the Dudleys, Austin, and JR. Bradshaw is cool to have around but I wouldn't put any belts on him. Goldberg's popularity has always puzzled me.

The thing with the Dudleys (at least Bubba), JR, and Bradshaw, is their stupid racism. I can't stand that, even if it's in character. I don't think that needs to be near or apart of a wrestling show. Period.
Austin and Goldberg are just paychecks eating away the WWE's money. They aren't helping the shows that much more than Kevin Nash's "excellent" in-ring work has over the last few months..

lack of a television would probably do it.
If RVD, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley were all fired from the WWE, then I would probably stop watching.
Those guys are really the only reasons I tune in on Monday and Thursday nights.

What?
I *think* you said that the guy is screwed because he hates Holly. You think it's about time he got a title shot. If the WWE did what the fans wanted them to do, you'd stop watching WWE.
:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
Anyway, it'd take something really bad to get me to stop watching, like something we joke about, like Triple H beating 30 wrestlers at the same time or something.

If Rico ever beats Jericho
He beat Ric Flair once...
Big deal.
Flair is now losing the majority of his matches, and he is now used mainly to put over younger talent.
