From the Pop 1 e-mail announcement today.
Because of your support of the "Sessions From Room 4" CD, we received a
pleasant surprise call from Billboard Magazine, the music industry's bible,
telling us that we debuted on their Billboard Internet chart at #16.
Needless to say, everyone in the Population 1 camp was elated to hear the
news. In fact, when I called Nuno in the Azores to tell him the good news,
he thought I was joking. I assured him that I was not and he told me to tell
all of you how much the band appreciates your support.
I figgered I'd also use it as a chance to give a cheap plug to Pop 1's new EP, the abovementioned "Sessions from Room 4." I've got it on order, but haven't yet heard it. I know that Nuno's "Population 1" was a great album, with the exception of a couple of filler tracks ( "Sick Punk" was bad as a Mourning Widows track, bringing it to Pop 1 was unecessary...)
