NWA:TNA officials held a meeting with their wrestlers this afternoon, confirming www.PWInsider.com reports about future plans for the company.

Breaking them up into small groups, management informed the wrestlers of the company's plans.

As previously reported, the company will end their weekly Wednesday evening Nashville PPV events after the 9/8 PPV. They will move the Impact! tapings to Tuesdays starting the week of 9/14 to allow more time for post-production. Current plans call for the first three hour PPV to take place on Sunday 11/7, although that date is not confirmed.

TNA wrestlers were also informed that that the promotion would cover their hotel expenses, starting 9/14.

Despite the fact that they were going down to one payday a week, I was told that none of the wrestlers spoke up about the situation. I have also heard that they didn't have chance to ask questions about the situation, partially because Jeff Jarrett ended the meeting at 5:30 PM, noting that they had to prepare for tonight's PPV event.

See they should let the guys take indy bookings now. I eman they cut one of their pay days each week and as far as I know cant make up for it with other bookings.

For the promotion its much better. Weekly PPVs was always a horrible idea and as has been predicted would never work in a million years.

They still haven't turned a profit, and until that happens I cant take them seriosuly.

This is one step of a two-step good idea. Dropping the weekly ppv format is great, however Impact's timeslot could really hurt them now. With Impact being the only means they'll have to progress storylines and hype the ppv, it really needs to have a potential to reach more people. I know very few people who are able to watch at 3pm on Friday. The fewer people they reach, the fewer potential buyers they will have.

And they have enough financial problems as is. Since they're becoming a more competetive promotion with the monthly PPV's, they're going to have to find a better and more lengthy time slot or they're history.

Yea, length was the point I forgot to make. One hour a week hardly seems like enough to me.

I have only seen 2 episodes of Impact. It's not that I don't get TNA or that I don't like it. The problem is that the timeslot is so shitty that I forget it's on every week.

Exactly. The few times I'm actually home around that time, I forget that it's even on.

Yeah. It's a halfway good idea.

Halfway.
