Yeah. Smackdown spoilers ahead. I warned you.

Anyways, the WWE was running an ad for summerslam with the Big Show.

It wasn't hard to guess when watching Smackdown that the talent that was getting re-signed was Show.

Did he even get fired? After he chokeslammed Angle, he just disappeared I thought.

When Eddie beat him, his job was on the line.

Wasn't that a cover for an injury or a vacation or something?

As opposed to the matches where your career really IS on the line?

He was under the self-imposed restriction that he would leave if he lost the match with Eddie. When he lost, he flipped out. That's what led to the bit where he chokeslammed Angle. He was already "gone" at that point. Speculation was that he would go over to Raw or something when he made his comeback, to avoid this whole angle.

Why would they need to avoid this angle? we're stupid WWE fans, we don't remember what happenend in the past.

Speaking of that, while reading the preview for Summerslam on wwe.com, I noted that it said something like "Angle is coming off a long layoff, although a fraudulant one....". WTF! Yeh, so was he injured or not? So the big show chokeslammed him off a balcony and he was fine.... in fact, he was so fine he decided to use this as an opportunity to fool everyone and screw Eddie?

I'm hoping they meant that he had recovered mid-way through his injuries and had been extending his time in his chair to fool us... I dunno. But it does seems the WWE thinks we all have the memories of goldfish.

Goddamn, leave me alone! I was looking for a response that confirmed whether it was an injury or vacation or something else entirely... But everytime I fucking post you have to try and start a god damn argument.

It just seems like lately, they really, really haven't even been trying to produce good, exciting shows on SD! RAW's been okay, but they just don't care. I haven't been this bored with the product for... maybe ever. And this is just another sign of not even bothering to have surprises. He could have made an unannounced run in, but NOOO... they think hyping him will increase ratings.

Morons. You know there's something seriously wrong when JBL is the most entertaining guy on the show (and last night, IMO, he actually was the most entertaining part of the show).

I like JBL... then again I liked getting hit in the balls with a blunt instrument for ten minutes. It's exactly the same sensation, trust me.

They've been trying to make Raw the more popular show for bargaining with Spike TV.

It's far too difficult to actually make Raw GOOD, so they decided to make Smackdown! blow.

I thought it was funny how there was a lot of boos on Smackdown when they announced the Big Show was the signing. Probably had to do with the fact that it was hyped up to be something great, but it turned out being Big Show. The only reason fans started cheering was because of Theodore Long.
