View Full Version : Best tickets you ever got to a concert?

So I tried refreshing Ticketmaster every 5 seconds with two windows open in case one messed up, and I was rewarded with getting a Middle Front Right Row A seat in front of the stage to see Pearl Jam and Death Cab For Cutie in October. Considering my last few ventures with Ticketmaster, I was floored to see that I got the best seats in the house. I did the same thing for Pearl Jam in Atlanta a while back and ended up getting the farthest thing back, the lawn.
So what would be the best tickets you ever got to see a band? I guess you can include going to a festival and getting really close or whatever.

when I went to see Coldplay last year i had floor tickets...it was general admission and I was rather close to the front.

Hotness :y:
Yeah other than "floor seat" shows, when my sister went to Kid Rock and I tagged along, we had like 3rd row center, it was really nice. If I felt so inclined I'd probably have been able to reach up and touch Kid Rock's foot.

Closest I've been to a band was Therapy?/Wildhearts at Rock City, we stood to the side of the stage, where it's out of the pits, but close up.

Not including General Admission (Where I end up near the front for every band) I saw Michelle Branch from the 6th row.
-edit- I forgot about the 2nd row tickets I had for APC...they were behind the GA pit though.

General admission for Slayer at the Warfield, I guess. Gen admin sold out faster because it was closer to the front, otherwise I would've had to been in the balcony. It was sick, like 5 inches from Kerry King.

I try to stay away from concerts with seating anyway. It sucks a lot of balls to be sitting while you're watching a show. The only exceptions I have made were for Primus and Marilyn Manson.

Boomer I probably saw you at PJ, I was in the lawn as well.
Up front for APC at Birmingham.
Lawn for Lollapalooza at Atlanta.
The rest were at small venues where I was wherever I wanted to be, one of which I was hit in the head with a bottle and then proceeded to break the guy's nose who threw it.

When I saw "Weird Al" at the Soaring Eagle Casino, I could have nailed him in the face with my cell phone.
If I wanted to injure "Weird Al."
Seriously, though, it was table seating, and my table was the second one out from the stage, dead center. I have a strong suspicion he may have pointed at me during "Your Horoscope For Today," but I'm probably just deluding myself.
Actually, I saw him the night before his parents died. It's sad, 'cause he was so happy that night, then to find out horrible news like that the next day... :'(

Concerts are for posers. True bands don't play live.

I've only got one album, and I just got it. I'll get back to you on that.
