Just say what has been,in your opinion or for you personally, the best moment(s) of 2003 in terms of sport.
For me it would be both England winning the rugby world cup and Leicester getting back to the Premiership and not being in the relegation zone for the start of the second half of the season.

The Yankees not winning the World Series and this past weekend's football craziness are the two that stand out for me.

The one I had in my sig was mad funny, Moss 20yd TD against KC was reversed, so he threw a 19yd pass to Moss, and Smith ran the other yard straight away

The Aaron Boone home run was really shitty in a way, but it was probably the most important single play in a sport this year, and to be watching it live was pretty cool.

Canucks beating the Blues, yeah.
But then... :'(
The biggest moment this year was by far Wilkinson's kick (as much as I hate to say it :()
Others that I'll remember are:
- Steve Waugh's century to save his career
- Matty Hayden's world record Innings against Zimbabwe . (Pity it won't be remembered that much because of the opposition).
- Warne getting caught doin drugs
- Collingwood getting flogged in the AFL GF

Shane Williams tearing through England's "world class" defence in the rugby world cup quarter finals, and seeing probably the best try I've ever seen. If only we had kept our disciplin and not conceeded so many penalties, we would have gone through to the semi's, and england would have gone home empty handedly. We clearly outplayed them, we beat them on try count 3-1!! And at the end of the day, considering wales' poor form coming into that match, loosing by an 11 point margin to the world champs aint too bad now is it?

remember that time during the vikings playoff game...
nvm :(
Scotland beating Holland 1-0 was one of the best days of my life. I prefer to forget what happened 4 days after it :(
Also, Randy Couture beating both Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz this year in the UFC was a script that couldn't be written. Loved Joe Calzaghe's performances this year.
The decision on the De La Hoya vs. Mosley fight was the low point for me by a long way.

[QUOTE=Rob] Loved Joe Calzaghe's performances this year.
QUOTE]
I met Joe Calzaghe in Sainsburys in Cwmbran about 3 years ago. He was signing autograghs and I got a picture with him, and I was holding the belt  It's pretty heavy, and it's got fur on the inside. He was pretty shy, but that was back when no one knew about him, and if you mentioned his name people would be like, Joe who...? He's massive now though of course, a good old Gwent boy! Every american boxer knows about him, and he seems to be more arrogant now, which all boxers are like, so that's good. :y:

Best moment of the year was definetly Scotland beating Holland, a brilliant game, a fantastic performance, just amazing.
Not quite the best, but Liverpool winning the League Cup. Most people sneer at it, but if you just look at how gutted the Man U players were afterwards, it made it all worthwhile, its also the last time Liverpool played, what I would deem our best 11 (before we signed Kewell, who'd come in for Smicer). Truly great day.
