So how is being Raw's Sheriff or whatever they are calling him different from Co-GM? And why can't they let Bischoff alone and be a single heel authoity on Raw?

Since the brand extention Ric Flair was in charge of RAW and Vince McMahon was in charge of Smack Down. Then Flair lost RAW in a match with McMahon. Then McMahon was in complete control. Then I can't remember what happened but Eric Bischoff & Stephanie McMahon took Flair's & McMahon's place.
From there Bischoff & Austin were General Managers. Then Austin lost his spot. Then Foley comes in as Outside Consultant, who then appoints himself Co-General Manager. So then it was Bischoff & Foley. Annnnd THEN! Foley walks out as GM & the outside consultant. Now Austin's the sheriff, which I believe is in charge of the General Manager position.
And somewhere in the shadow of RAW, Steph gets fired from Smack Down & now Paul Heyman's the new GM over there.
Do you believe thats all just too hard to follow, or do you believe that the WWE is doing some good with all the new plot/power role twists?

I understood it as being the same thing as Co-GM. When Austin answered the phone, he said he didn't want to be Co-GM again unless it was under his terms. When he came out and said "There's a new sheriff in town", all he was saying was that there was somebody there to counter Bischoff. He may be known as the "RAW Sheriff" or something, a nickname in a way, but basically he's Co-GM again.
That's how I took it. Not as GM Bischoff, and Sheriff Austin. It's just Co-GMs like it used to be. Unless I am completely missing what people are saying in this thread...or I am just wrong either way. Whatever.

Do you think they just dropped the ball on foley?

No, he was entertaining as hell, he had me incredibly psyched for Foley vs. Orton, and incredibly let-down when he walked out. It's all going exactly as they want it to. Foley will get in shape, come back, and kick somebody's ass at Wrestle Mania.
Anyways, this whole Austin thing is getting ridiculous. I don't mind the guy, but RAW "Sheriff?" What the ****?

Good point. Funny that I never thought of it, but they probably will (and should) have Foley off TV to get back in shape but hype his walkout for a while until he comes back and (hopefully) puts Orton over (it'd be the right thing to do) in a good match.
Okay, I'm happy again. :)

Ahem, correction.....
Sheriff/Outside Advisor/Co-Chairman.
He is no longer the Co-Gm.
The Co-Gm for Bischoff's partner is left open for someone else now. :y:
Ahem, correction.....
Sherriff is just another term that they're using. Basically, Austin is the Co-GM again, only he's allowed to beat the shit (aka stun) anybody he wants any time he wants.

Which makes the Survivor Series match totally void.
So ****ing stupid.
