Day 6: A.J Styles (89)

Well, we will be closing out the first week of the Rate The Wrestler with an icon in the world of Lucha Libre, as well as a man, who could be, almost without a doubt, the most well known cruiserweight known to Wrestling fans, as Rey Mysterio Jr.

Mysterio is a muiti-time WWE/WCW Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion and is one of the most amazing wresters to watch.

Day 6 Rate The Wrestler, AJ Styles, scored a 89, which puts him in third place, two points right behind Chris Jericho

Remember, the only rule here is, if you feel a wrestler deserves less then a 6, you have to post an reason why, Voting will end sometime Saturday Evening

Finally, the last order of business is today poll, which is, the WWE (The Best Wrestlers in the WWE to never hold the World Title there are the only to be voted on this time around) RVD would be in this group of voting without a doubt, but he always been named Wrestler of the day and ranks in fifth place...Today Choices are Edge, Christian, Matt Hardy, Booker T, John Cena and lastly, today guess poll entry is none other then the great Owen Hart :y:

Ring ability: 10

Overness: 9.5 (While he's not a Main Eventer, He is very over when WWE rings)

Work rate: 8 (Very Good, but can be a spotty, at times)

On The Mic: 6 (This is the thing that hurts him the most, If I only haven't heard a Mysterio Promo, he would be very high rated, I'm being nice with a 6)

Finisher Rating: 8 (Yet another thing that hurt him, is the 619 into the West Coast Pop, I mean, there nothing wrong with it, and is a decent finisher, but keyword is decent, I give him a 8 since I love the dropping of the dime however)

Overall rank: 8.3

8.5. He is a great all-around wrestlers because for someone mostly known for his high-flying ability, he can wrestle great with just about anyone. I don't know what he is missing (and no,I wouldn't say 3 more feet!) but for whatever reason, I can't give him a 10. Maybe it is the constant injuries that slow him down, I don't know. Or maybe his finisher being too ...well, weak (it's pretty much a Hogan leg drop,no?). Anyway, it is an 8.5.

Ring ability: 9.5. (I like his style.)

Overness: 10 (Always over wherever he goes)

Workrate: 7.5 (Needs to concentrate less on high spots)

Mike Work: 5 (Not the best, but better than some. *cough* BROCK *cough*)

finisher: 6 (when you've seen the 619 619 times, it gets a little boring. Still, its not bad.)

I'll give him a 9 simply because he's an inspiration to crusierweight competetors everywhere, and has accomplished quite a bit.

I think he just pretty much blows. His matches bore me, the guy is all about hitting every spot he can in every match possible. It isnt a wrestling match when I watch him and most other cruisers. What I'm seeing is a bunch of circus like maneuvers being pulled off cuz they kind of have to be pulled off.
It's as if it's dictated beforehand that this all must be carried out. I dont find what he does in the ring anything to write home about. I'd give him less then 6 if I felt like explaining why. (I actually just did, briefly)

I'm not that high on the cruiserweight scene. Dont get me wrong I can respect what they do I just dont really care much for them. But as for rey, I've just not liked his matches since his early days in wcw.

7.5 out of 10

And that's mostly for the unbelievable stuff he used to do. Don't get me wrong; Rey's still my all-time favorite cruiser, and one of my all-time favorite wrestlers period, but he just isn't the guy he used to be. A large part of that is due to his repeated knee injuries, and also because of WWE slapping limitations on him. But even if he weren't restricted, the guy just can't go like he used to. He can still put out great matches, but nothing that can touch Rey vs Psicosis from BatB '97 or vs Eddie at Halloween Havoc. He's still one of the best, but I don't think he's #1 anymore.

After watching the Cruiserweight Open at WMXX, I'd give him a 4. Hes been given too much tv time over guys on the same level as him, ie Ultimo Dragon. I was looking forward to more spots from the guys who dont get as much tv time.

So for being a TV hogg, and only using a maximum of 3 moves, I'd give him a 4

Seven. This guy just isn't as impressive to me as he's made out to be, and he just bores me. He's just a better version of Jeff Hardy. He's a spotmaster who gets pops but doesn't really do much else.

Personally, that's all up to you to deceide, since I never really set a way for people to vote ala how me and Funky Vote, so basically, you can do it on whichever Rey you like..since in this thing, I do Legends and Wrestlers who are deceased and are retired, you can do Mysterio in his prime
