Muse has a shitty bassist. Primus has a really good bassist (Les Claypool), but they aren't very good. they emphasize the bass though-- which really stands out.
look at Victor Wooten, his album A Show of Hands is amazing, and listen to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones (he plays with them). Sinister Minister is has an awesome bass part.
also Faires Wear Boots by Black Sabbath.

the bass I heard on Absolution wasn't very good, but my brother is a big fan of them and he just told me to listen to New Born. the bass in it is pretty good I must admit.
