My dad did like a reconfiguration of the computer because it was acting up, so a few of the programs got deleted. One was MSN. So, I decided to go and re-download it on to the computer.

I've installed it twice, and about to uninstall it for the second time. It locks up just before actually connecting. I use Windows ME, and it's MSN 6.2, so I'm wondering if the version is what is clashing with the system...

Your problem is that you're using Windows ME. Upgrade to 2000 or downgrade to 98SE. If this is the same p.o.s. PC you;'ve had problems with in the past, take a bat to it, Office Space style, then buy/build a new one.

Upgrading or downgrading would annihilate this worthless computer. Dammit..

This might be a good time to talking my father into the joys of a working computer..
