Wahoo, don't know if anyone has wrote about this but it comes out this year according to IMDb.

I'm just watching Gossip, the bloke who plays Murphy MacManus is in it and thats how I found out it was coming out.

I'll believe it when I see it. It's been pushed back so many times :(

That it has, that it has. Not only that, but a theatrical release is still pending. :nono:

Production Notes/Status:
Status: Pre-production
Comments:
Status Updated: 12 August 2003
Also Known As:
Boondock II: The Second Coming (2002) (USA) (working title)
Boondock Saints 2 (2003) (USA) (working title)
Those two tidbits are very discouraging. 2002, then 2003, now I guess they're saying 2004 (thought I couldn't find where it said that). It still says pre-production, but it also hasn't been updated in a year. Who knows :(

Best place for updates would be www.theboondocksaints.com . Troy updates there with the status of the movie and whatnot.
Kinda how Kevin Smith interacts on his website.

wasn't Boondock Saints not shown in theatres when it came out because of September 11th?

It came out like 2 years before Sept 11th, but maybe that was regional or something. I never even saw it advertised for theatres. I never would've seen it if I wasn't a filthy little pirate.

It was pulled from theatrical release because of the Columbine shootings. It was eventually given a ver very small limited release after that in some art house theaters. I remember reading a review for it here in the Boston Globe, it was playing somewhere in Boston. Sounded so cool from the review I couldn't wait til it came out on video and rented it the same day.

I don't think a sequel is necessary, I thought they ended the first one with a solid story that could be told but was better off not being told and left to the audiences imagination

Yeah, he made the first one.
Dafoe: "What the hell are you doing?"
Asian guy: "I just wanna cuddle."
Dafoe: "... you're such a fag."
