Unless we see Mr. Dinsmore as Eugene in the next couple of weeks, we will probably never see him again on TV.

He had a great run, but now it is most likely over.

My favourite Eugene moment was the training scene before he had hi match with Rob Conway. He had the chain wrestling all sweet, and Dr. Tom was "marking out like a little girl".

Post your favourite Eugene moments, in loving memory of our "special" friend.

Nah... Eugene will be back on TV again. He was in Regal's corner when he faced Flair last week. But the momentum his character had seems to have disappeared

He isn't over yet by a long shot.

The time Rob Conway was wrestling someone, forget who, and Eugene went over to the pyro guy and pushed all the buttons and everything just exploded and Conway was like "WTF" and got rolled up for a pin and lost.

It's not his fault he can't get over... ;) (oh my...what a little witty pun)

what? He'll be back real soon. Just not in the main event scene anymore. Well, at least for now.

Even the Brooklyn Brawler was better to watch than him

Have him join Evolution as Nick Dinsmore (revealing his true identity). Screwing over Orton in the process. I'd rather see Dinsmore in Evolution than Edge.

I'm sick of the WWE insulting our intelligence like that. If they're going to give a guy a gimmick that they can't turn their backs on, in this case being Eugene being Bischoff's nephew (which if he were "pretending" he'd have to pretend his entire life), they should stick with it until they can't use the guy anymore and he goes back to OVW or gets a gimmick with a mask. I hate it when they tell us one thing, then turn around two weeks later and tell us something completely different like we're too stupid to remember what they told us two weeks before.

NO! They should not make Eugene pretend to be a retard. He shouldn't be in many elaborate storylines. They should stick to his character just loving wrestling. He'll last a lot longer if his character sticks to wrestling. There are only so many manipulating storylines you can put Eugene.

They should have turned him heel in some match where he and Benoit tagged against members of Evolution. He could have said that it was all just a gimmick and that the fans were too stupid to see through him. Then he could have joined Evolution when Orton left, which would have been perfect. Now it is too late, and they cannot turn him heel like that without insulting our intelligence, and I see no other feasible way of revealing that he is 'normal'.

I knew the second I wrote that, someone would say something :y:

Unless they TOTALLY break kayfabe and blame it all on Bischoff saying "Bischoff told me that being retarded was part of my gimmick." Then we'd be back to the good old Break-kayfabe days, and Bischoff gets more heat.

They should not do that. It's a gimmick, and a fun one too. Did anyone believe that s the Undertaker is really dead? Did anyone believe that Kane was burnt as a child when he first entered the WWF? Did anyone believe that Pappa Shango really could cast spells on people? Does anyone believe that the Peoples' Elbow actually hurts?

Eugene would probably not work if the WWE decided that he was normal. Though, I can now see that maybe they used this gimmick to set Nick up for a good long heel role.

The People's Elbow is more of a cocky finisher, and I do agree that using it as a finisher is retarded. It is a move however, not a gimmick, so it is irrelevant in this conversation. Those other gimmicks that you mentioned generated some good crowd responses, and for long periods of time as well. Those gimmicks also existed when very few wrestling fans were smarks. Today's fans don't want to see dumbass gimmicks, and the recent boos that Eugene has gotten show that his gimmick has lost its steam and will die eventually.

Very true, and it's kind of sad. I miss gimmicky wrestling. Not that I want to see another Bastian Booger, or Skinner.

Today's fans don't know what they want. Well at least that's what Vince told me.

<font color=cyan>Eugene is well over with the fans! Why would the WWE take him of TV like they did with Sean O'Haire when he was well over with the fans?
Yeah, I hope Eugene stays....

My fav. Eugene moment was at a house show in Palm Springs. Eugene and Willaim Regal VS LaRes. There was a double team on Regal, Eugene ran in and the ref told Eugene he has to be holding onto the tag rope. Later in the match, another double team on Regal, Eugene takes the tag rope off the turnbuckle, and runs in the ring, pointing to the tag rope. The fans LOVED that!

I just think theyre gonna do the same thing with him as they did with Gowen. I mean, theyre gonna get bored sooner or later trying to work out storylines for him, because lets face it, the writers have no imagination whatsoever.

Im just saying that I dont think Eugene will last any longer, so enjoy watching him while you can.

OK, I'm a little behind atm, but what I can gather from this thread is that the WWE have done it again. They've butchered yet another perfectly good character. Just like Kane, Austin, Goldberg, an too numerous other Superstars to mention. They must get a real kick outta doin' that. I stand by it. EGG CONNECTICUT!
