I dislike him but he's got some good facial expressions, he's slowly evolving into a good performer, and I'll never forget the first time I saw the Clothesline From Hell, sure, it's just a clothesline, but it's brutal.

-edit- Just in case I have to explain. Reason is, he sucks in the ring and always has. He only scored this highly because I like the character he has now because it reminds me of Dibiase. Doesn't remind me of Dibiase because he's good or anything, just reminds me how great Dibiase was. He's still friggin horrible in the ring though.

Since my score is below 6, I should explain. Although he is the main event, the current Smackdown champion, and the second top heel in the business, why only a 2.1??? He is only a brawler, and not a good one. The only thing that saves him is heat and his promos that usually emit heat(maybe because he sucks at it and it is cheap heat?). Either way, not deserving of main event status or mid-card for that matter. What next, Hardcore Holly a number one contender for the title??? ...nevermind

***lousy hurricane bastard! I'm still here too!!***

He only gets that high because he has become pretty funny as a cowardly heel, and he has surpassed everyone's expectations when he finally got the WWE title. Up until his JBL persona, he was pretty crappy.

4 - As many have pointed out, as a wrestler he sucks. But as an entertainer, he only half sucks. He has his moments, but he still mostly sucks.

0.0 Why? I think it's a bad joke that he is the WWE chump that's how I will refer his run with the title at this point I wolud rather have Taker as champion than BJL.

Once again stealing Funky Fly's model, this time justifying each one:
Ring ability: 4
I'd call him below average in the ring, he's got more skill than a lot of former champions have, but he makes Taker look like Bret Hart in their matches.
Overness: 8
Mostly cheap heat, sure, but whatever it is, he's got a lot more heat than a lot of heel champions have had. Sh</>it, he's doing better in that respect IMO than Austin did as a heel champ in '01.
Work rate: 7
Straight C average there, he's not special, but he does his job and puts more effort into it than, say, a HHH or even Taker at times.
Politics: 2
This is where he takes his biggest hit, he is what he is because Vince likes him, plain and simple.
Mic skill: 7
He gets his point across, and gets the reaction he's after. He doesn't drip charisma,
Any time he's ever needed to, he's been able to work the crowd to get the response he's supposed to get.
Overall rank: 5.5

Mister Sinister

Ring ability: 3.5 (He only gets this for his wicked looking Powerbombs)

Overness: 8.5 (He doesn't deserve to be this over, but however sadly he is getting there and he is a World Champion)

Workrate: 3.7 (Shitty but is getting better, little by little, but won't ever reach a 5 in terms of Workrate

Mic Work: 7.2 (I never would expected Bradshaw to actually get this good on the Mic, but he did, He's still no Chris Jericho

Finisher: 5.5 (Being Nice Here, A Fucking Clothline for crying out loud, I don't care how stiff it is, it's still a clothline)

Overall: 5.7

I think a lot of people are being too harsh on JBL. The fact of the matter is, he's a guy who's been loyal to wrestling for a long time, has been a good tea player, and puts 100% into everything he does. The administration told him essentially to change his image or get a pink slip, so he completely changed his image. He's a decent power wrestler - he's no Ron Simmons or Scott Norton or Steiner Brother, but he has ability. His finisher is not the worst thing I've ever seen - Test does a boot to the face for gosh sakes, the Rock dropped an elbow on the person, Shawn Michaels does a weak sidekick to the face (or chest, nowadays, since he's not flexible enough to reach the face), and Foley puts a sock down someone's throat. At least Bradshaw does an old-fashioned power move - a clothesline.

Now, his gimmick sucks. His only GOOD gimmick was in the Acolytes with Ron Simmons. Then, as part of the A.P.A., he was good. But don't blame him for the racist jerks in the WWE backstage. First they make him a neo-Nazi, KKK, racist SOB, then they decide he's not racist anymore and instead just Texan-turned-New Yorker. The entire thing sucks, the WWE staff sucks, and I stopped watching WWE specifically because JBL, who's best friends with both Ron Simmons and Jacqueline, was turned into a racist on TV because of the WWE. I hate when they play the "race" card, and Vince just LOOOOOOOOVES doing it.

And the scariest thing is, when he was saying his stuff about Eddie and Mexicans (Eddie was born in California, btw, and is USA 100%), some people were cheering. Way to go, Vince. Way to appeal to the white-trash, racist audience. You certainly know which viewers to cater too while losing all your minority viewers.

We're being assholes because we're not rating him high? Hmm let's see. He's the biggest asshole backstage as he is a dick to a lot of the younger guys. He's a FK'N BRAWLER who worked twice with Guerrero. His match with Taker was pure SHIT. So you see what happens when you put him with someone that can't protect him. He can't sell to save his life eathier. Yeah, his mic work has been decent, but it's starting to get old. And does being with the company forever mean that he is a really good worker? Well I guess Holly and Gunn are great workers too right? Let's not mistake Longevity for Talent here.

And that is only because I found him entertaining as part of APA. Other than that, he would have received a 2. Now he is descending into retard land with things like his rant against internet fans and his backstage bullshit. His gimmick sucks bigtime and he can't wrestle for shit. He is boring to watch. His finisher is a clothesline.

How he received a title push is incomprehensible to me.

Honestly, all these people that're giving him 6's & 7's have the mentality of "ah well, he sucks, but Vince is high on him so I guess I'll just accept him & try to be nice. Not like that strap'll be off him anytime soon."

That's the story of your entire career, JBL.

Kurt Angle's wrestling career: Remembered for true greatness.
JBL's wrestling career: Grudging acceptance.

Since everyones on a downer bout him i'll explain.

I've seen Bradshaw come a long way over the years, from Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, to Blackjack Bradshaw, to Bradshaw of the Acolytes, IMO the only bad part of his career was when the Acolytes became the APA, to JBL & I love this character.

If this gimmick is crap then why did a very similar gimmick work for Ted DiBiasi, he was a rich cowardly wrestler who hid behind Virgil as is JBL hiding behind OJ

So my JBL rating is 8

Loose Cannon
09-04-2004, 04:42 PM
CAUSE TED DIBIASE WAS A QUALITY WRESTLER WHO PUT ON QUALITY MATCHES and MADE HIS OPPONENTS LOOK GOOD. Watch Wrestlemania 4 my freind. Dibiase is much better on the mic and is light years ahead of Bradshaw with pyscology. JBL is SHIT in the ring.

I don't know how the hell Bradshaw is getting higher then 5's.

Ok, Low-Ki is a 7.3, according to the general consensus of this board. Watch one of his matches (preferably the ones against American Dragon or Christopher Daniels), then watch anything over JBL's career. It doesn't match up at all. Bradshaw sucks in the ring.
