WWE has announced two major matches for RAW this Monday:
Randy Orton vs. Kane for the World Title
Triple H vs. Eugene in a Steel Cage Match
-------
The word backstage is that Vince McMahon is now accepting that the WWE product, especially Smackdown, has many creative problems. This has everybody speculating that major creative team changes are coming.
Bruce Prichard, one of the main members of Smackdown's creative team, is on a hiatus and McMahon was said to not be too happy with his work prior to his departure.
Right now, Smackdown is basically being written by Dave Lagana, Vince McMahon, and Stephanie McMahon.
Some are hoping that Paul Heyman somehow returns to a major role in the creative department but realize that is is probably not likely due to how he and Vince McMahon clash over creative direction.
------------------------
Sources indicate that The Undertaker vs. John Heidenreich match will now take place at Survivor Series. The match was originally scheduled to take place at Unforgiven, but WWE opted to give Heidenreich some more time in the ring.
------------------
While there is no talk of Brock Lesnar returning to WWE anytime soon, the general feeling is that Vince McMahon would take him back in a second. There are still a lot of bad feelings between WWE and Brock over his departure, but as is usually the case with big names, they likely would be overlooked if he opted to return. At this point, Brock seems to want to continue with football.

Sundays are typically slow days, so I figured I'd post some news.

Vince is NOW accepting the creative problems. Well, at least now it's going to get remedied...or so I hope. Vince'll probably hire a bunch of people who have even less of an idea about what they're talking about than the old staff, and he'll do it just to spite everyone that cares. And then him and Brock will have a celebratory circle jerk with the satisfaction they get from frustrating the internet fans.
Or maybe I'm totally full of shit.
Who knows?
On a another note...Eugene v HHH again? Does Jesus not love us anymore or something?

As far as Smackdown goes, it's gotten alot better in the past couple of weeks and doesn't suck COMPLETELY too much anymore. It is kinda sad though when your other wrestlers are ten times more popular and talented than your World Champ though...
Angle vs Guerrero main event was gold...

I like how Vince will allow a lot of wrestlers back into his company. Even with bad reputations, he still gives them a chance. I respect that. I like how he finally admitted to creative problems. This could be the start of the next boom.
Smackdown has slowly, but progessively, gotten better. I see good things for Smackdown in a few months.

I heard they wanted to putt the title on Angle and have a Angle vs Undertaker match at WMXXI...hope that isn't true though :|
Anyway...i'm hoping they will push Haas a bit more to the main event...that's imo.

I don't think they should give the title to Cena just yet. Let Undertaker have at least one last run with the title before giving it to CENA.

1.New setting and logo
At least for SmackDown. The Frost Titan of the North just looks ridiculous. A new SmackDown set is badly needed. The RAW set isn't too bad, and I kinda like that it looks a little like the old Nitro set (what with JR and the King at the ramp instead of ringside). Slight alterations to RAW wouldn't bother me.
As for logos, absolutely. The "Attitude" era is dead and gone, so the scratch logo looks dated. I like John Cena's old-school logo, but I would let him keep that for his character. Maybe it's time they come out with a logo that doesn't stack the "W"s.
2.More Raw vs.Smackdown fueds, seeing Cole and Tazz calling Raw an exciting show is crazy
I think the less interaction between RAW and SmackDown, the better. I agree that Cole and Tazz shouldn't be calling RAW exciting. In fact, I don't think they should be referring to it at all, except when it's time for joint PPVs. The brand extension seems pretty meaningless if we're getting constant updates on the "opposition" from the commentators. If I'm watching RAW, I want to know about the RAW guys. I'll watch TV on Thursday if I give a damn about SmackDown.
3.Give the WWE title to Cena. He's the future and the fans still go crazy for him.
I don't agree with this. I also don't agree that the belt should go to Undertaker. The most entertaining performer on SmackDown for the last...well...seemingly forever has been Kurt Angle. I know he's had the belt before, but he just makes so much sense with the gold.
Cena isn't quite ready for the top guy spot yet, and his feud with Booker T has done very well. JBL can't wrestle. Undertaker can't wrestle anymore. Eddie is great, but I don't think that he's the guy on SmackDown. I'd love to see somebody like RVD wearing the belt, but WWE has done such an effective job of de-pushing him that a title victory now wouldn't look very good.

Cena is the only guy on either show that the fans go legitimately crazy for. The logical thing to do with him is take him off TV for a month or so while he does that movie, put the title on Kurt, and then have Cena come back and chase Kurt for the title, and win it at Mania.
Will they do that? Unlikely, but as I see it, Cena is the ONLY guy they have that might make a small difference in business.

Well, final-fucking-ly, but if SD! has been written by just Vince, Steph, and that third guy, that explains everything. The show's been really stagnant recently, just trudging along and going through the motions. I see no effort being put in, which is a huge shame. I can honestly say that I think I would be able to provide a more exciting show, or at least put more effort, as long as you discount backstage politics and such.
I missed SD!, but if Taker feuding with Heidi already, or is he still technically against JBL? I thought Taker was going to get the strap next, so a Heidi feud would be kinda weird.
Smackdown is getting better. I htink that it could be better if Heyman was on the booking team. As for John Cena getting the belt I don't think that it is his time quite yet.
BTW isn't Unforgiven a Raw PPV so how could there be a Taker/Heidenreich match?

That's what I thought legendkiller. Must have meant No Mercy, that's SmackDown exclusive.
Side note: Watched SmackDown last night and cought the SmackDown ThrowBack. I saw things like Austin returning from his SummerSlam injury by leaping out of an ambulance to attack Triple H, the DX Express being blown up, and most recently, the 795lb super-plex that imploded the ring. Hard to think that one was less than 2 years ago, surely they can bring some decent stuff back to smackDown with the looming "shake-up".
Then again, it might only be a Hulk Hogan return or a watered-down nWo (again!!)

But when do you pull the trigger? The fans love him, he sells lots of merch, what else do yuo need to get pushed to the top?

For starters, he needs to either convincingly win or get horribly screwed at the end of his feud with Booker T. Anything less than making him come out looking like the better man will make him look like less of a threat in the fans' eyes.
Of course, this is a brand whose current champion is the former New Blackjack, so it's all sort of moot.
I think Cena needs that one big feud with someone just before he gets the title. Like Randy Orton had his big feud with Mick Foley which made him look really good and a contender. For Cena this could have been accomplished by him beating the Undertaker a while back but Taker beat him.

Yeah, with Cena it's got to be Mania when he wins the Title. Put him in a program with Kurt and like CyNick said, have him chase.
If you go back and look at Austin when he became "Stone Cold." He loses to Hart at Survivor Series 96. Wins the Rumble. This is where he starts getting hot. He Loses to Hart at Mania, but the fans turn him babyface. Then he gets a Title shot at KOTR and loses. Wins the IC Title at Summerslam. Takes time off. Wins IC Title back at Survivor Series. Wins Rumble. Wins Title at Mania. All within a 1 and a half year period. Somewhere in there he lost his IC to the Rock. I forget when.
Cena has been over for a while now. He's had his World Title Shot. He's won the U.S. Title. He was stripped of the Title, much like Austin was. So I say he wins his U.S. Title back. Loses it at Survivor Series. Wins the Rumble. Get's his shot at Mania and wins the World Title from Angle.

If he won the Rumble, they'd likely do what they did with Benoit and send him to Raw.

Well if they do that again, they might as well cancel Smackdown.

And after it was getting so good too. Oh sorry, was there some sarcasm there? OK, it is better than RAW, an' I got a couple of reasons for that. Firstly, there's always a new G.M. While this should mean a huge shake up for the Superstars it rarely does, a missed opportunity if ever there was one. They're gettin' the idea with Theodore Long, but slowly.
Secondly, RAW has Evolution STILL runnin' around. How many times do we need ta see ANOTHER Evolution beat down? They need disbandin', let some other group of Superstars with hot talent get the limelight for a change. SmackDown! has no factions. It had the F.B.I. but they died a horrible death when Chuck went over ta RAW. Another bodged story line.
An' I suppose that's really only the tip of the iceburg, but I'm too tired ta type more.
