Lots of TNA news...
- Everyone backstage is very excited over the signing of WWE production wiz David Sahadi. Most believe he can be a major addition to the staff if given the proper tools to work with.
- D-Lo Brown has been encouraged by Jeff Jarrett to stop working for All Japan so he can focus on TNA, but Brown has refused. The new character featured in vignettes recently was likely to be for D-Lo, but that new character seems to have been dropped now.
- Low Ki is another wrestler that has picked Japan (Zero-One in this case) over regular TNA bookings. Guys like Low Ki and Brown generally get more bookings and more money in Japan than TNA can offer them.
- Christopher Daniels picked TNA over Japan, but that was due to his high market value in the U.S. indy scene.
- Jonny Fairplay will be at the Impact! taping this week to do an interview with People Magazine. The interview will take place in the ring prior to the taping itself.
- At this point, TNA still does not plan to use Fairplay on TV or PPV. TNA owner Dixie Carter, however, is pushing to get him back on TV, possibly in some type of reality television challenge.
Could Impact! be adding another hour soon?
Jeff Jarrett recently hinted to wrestlers backstage that TNA will be adding a second hour to Impact!. This has led wrestlers to begin speculation regarding a potential move to Tuesday or Wednesday nights for Impact! and possibly a move to another network like FX. Impact! may also be moved to Sunday mornings, which is considered to be a better timeslot than the current one.

Seems interesting, am not sure TNA ready for a two hour show. It's better to work your way up. In the mid 90's Raw was one hour.Once WWE build up their characters and storylines, they made it two hours. I don't know if it was a money issue but sometimes two hours can be alot. I turn the channel alot during Raw and SD because I hate the fillers stuff. Hopefully Russo will become a writer again with Jerry Jarrett having the last say like McMAHON.
TNA should not worry about DLo and Low-KI. TNA have enough talent they can push. I rather see Juvy and Teddy Hart back in TNA before those two. I don't blame DLO or Low Ki for making money but sometimes you need to sacrifice. TNA is trying to build something big.
TNA better hired special trainers for Monty Brown. If Monty Brown becomes good in the ring,TNA will have it's first superstar.
Look at the extra hour this way: TNA's weekly PPV is ending, that was two hours... If they were to make Impact two hours, that would make up some of the time lost from the PPVs going... It would most likely turn into what the PPV is now, only on a cable channel, and with one PPV monthly...
On a side note, I'm hoping they do move to FX, since FSN is a pay channel here (Monthly), we dont get that, and we dont get PPV... So I'd be more than happy to have another wrestling company on my TV...

I will be ordering the last Weekly TNA PPV just to see...
NWA Championship
Jeff Jarrett V. Jeff Hardy
The last time I ordered a TNA Pay Per View Dusty Rhodes was being hoisted up by 5 people to try and grab a guitar on a Pole. That would be all I remember about that unfortunate wrestling show.

Maybe I'll make an official TNA Wednesday Night PPV thread this week.

First of all Low-Ki is one of the most talented men to ever step into a TNA ring imo.
Secondly, are you a fucking moron? Monty Brown will be TNA's first superstar? Oh that's right, because Raven isn't a superstar. AJ Styles isn't the most impressive thing we've seen in a long time. Let me guess, Jerry Lynn is washed up? I could go on. Monty Brown doesn't even deserve to be in the same ring as these men.

I think any talk of switching channels is premature at best. As far as a two-hour show, I dont see it happening any time soon.
Oh and about RAW, Vince only made RAW two hours to counteract Nitro. I'm sure if he had thought it would work in 93 he would have done it then.

Well I keep hearing good things about Monty. I hate him, but the general TNA fans seem to like him. They should just keep giving him the Goldberg push and see what happens.
As for the 2 hr thing, I guess it seems logical since they are losing the weekly PPV's. I'm going to start watching Impact know because now that's "The" show. It's not going to be a minor league show anymore like it has been. There's going to be storyline progression on the show now.
I just wish they could get a prime time slot, have Lugar appear on the first episode during a Sting/Flair match and have the show at the Mall of America :shifty:

then have Hall show up, and watch ratings go through the roof.

Yeah, but we would have to go through a Dungeon of Doom angle first. YIKES
In all seriousness, TNA is going to have to do something SPECTACULAR to have any chance to suceed. Like WCW and the NWO angle. I just don't see them doing anything really good that will get people talking.

Yea, he has some talent. He's not like the TNA equivalent of Mark Henry or anything. I just think it's crazy to call him TNA's first superstar.

Thank God. This is my main problem with TNA. Nothing really happened on Impact enough for me to care about the PPV, and so then Impact wasn't all that entertaining. Wrestling is good yeah, but I personally need some storyline aspect as well that really makes me care about the matches. Nothing in TNA storywise makes me care.

Don't get me wrong,Raven,Styles,Kash, and others is better than Monty Brown but that because Monty is average in the ring. Once Monty becomes good in the ring,he will be a force to be reckon with.
I read a column on another site and this guy gave a good idea. Have Jimmy Hart and his former XWF guys come in and invade TNA. They can do a XWF vs.TNA fued. I think TNA needs a heel stable who can takeover. Raven,Kash,Dallas and Jeff Jarrett. They can just dominate TNA.

Ive been thinking about getting there last ppv. The last one that I got I believe had Kanzarian vs Styles in the main event and Styles twisted in the air and completly missed him when he landed. But he still got the pin. I thought this was horrible and I would hate for it to be my last moment to remember.

Yeah, AJ Styles is good, but is he making people go "OMG, You got to turn on TNA. You've got to see this. This is amazing." I don't think so.

Problem is that only 45 people know what the XWF is.
The only way for them to make a big splash is to sign up a bunch of the big name free agents and have them all come out on the first couple of shows. Then build to some big match on PPV. But I dont think those names want to be associated with TNA because they are so minor league.
What they have and always will have is a promotion led by Jeff Jarrett, thats NEVER going to draw no matter what angles they come up with.
