Just because he's from Seattle doesn't mean he's going to break the record :shifty:

Yeah, Sisler has got it. I'll tell you if he breaks it, which I doubt he will, that will be fuckin awesome. That record was set in 1920. So it's been 84 years years now that it's stayed in tact. I think he'll get around 240.

I am hoping he slows down and does it in the last series of the season against Texas, because thats the last series I have tickets for

Thing is, is that nobody has even come close since Lefty O'Doul in 1929. He had 254. I mean, I'm not sure a lot of fans recognize just how amazing this will be if he breks it. And the fact that he's playing for a last place team makes it even more remarkable.

Can't believe he played every game though or actually I can believe that. See, that's why I love the old players a lot. Not taking anything anway from today's players, but the old players from 1900-1930 played every game, pitched when they had to pitch. They were a lot tougher back then , then the players today. There was no such thing as a DL. The only things that kept players out was some kind of disease like menengitis(sp) tuburculosis (sp) etc.... A great pitcher named Addie Joss had menengitis(sp) in during 1911, collapsed during a game, then died two days later. Unfortunately, that's how is was back then. If you felt a little sick, which Joss was that day, you pitched. They were in danger of losing their jobs if they didn't do their job every day they were suppossed to.
Like Miz said, Different Era.
