Velocity Matches:

Mark Jindrak beat Scotty 2 Hotty.

The Bashams took on The FBI (Nunzio and Johnny Stamboli). The Bashams got the win using the ropes, but the ref saw his error and restarted the match, which the FBI then won.

Booker T beat local wrestler Brandon Groom.

SmackDown! Matches:

Before Smackdown began, JBL and Orlando Jordan got heat on the crowd by heeling JC Watts, former Oklahoma University quarterback and current Congressman from the state. They also ripped on the crowd, saying that the state was full of Indians and drunks.

Theodore Long announced that due to Luther Reigns' interference last week, Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle would have a rematch tonight. The main event of the show will see the two face off in a lumberjack match.

JBL, with Orlando Jordan, took on Charlie Haas, with Miss Jackie, in a non-title match. The finish saw JBL get the pin when Haas was distracted when Orlando was going after Jackie.

After the match, Theodore Long announced that JBL would be defending his title at No Mercy, against the Undertaker. They will have a last ride match, which means that there will be no submission, pinfall or count out. The loser must be thrown in the back of a hearse.

Up next is Paul London and Billy Kidman vs. Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki.

Paul London and Billy Kidman lost to Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. Kidman walked out on London after he went to the top to do the Shooting Star Press, couldn’t do it (because of how he hurt Chavo) and left instead. This left London, who was bandaged up (may have been from a Jon Heidenreich attack) to go it alone and he lost. Kenzo and Dupree are the new tag champs.

In the back, London confronted Kidman and asked what happened, but Kidman walked away without saying anything.

They aired footage of Spike Dudley turning on Rey Mysterio a few weeks back. This led into a Spike vs. Rey match, which quickly turned into a six man with Rey, Rob Van Dam and Hardcore Holly beating all three Dudley Boys.

They are now setting up for the main event lumberjack match between Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero.

They aired promos for Carlito Caribbean Cool, as well as a "Big Show is coming in two weeks" graphic.

John Cena came out and cut a promo on Booker T.

In the back, Paul Heyman was with Theodore Long. Heyman said he wasn't going to pay any more fines for Heidenreich's behavior so he gave Heidenreich the night off.

Long then told Heyman he was making a match for tonight anyway, but not for Jon. He said that Heyman would have a match against a TV announcer. Heyman figured it would be Michael Cole and cut off Long before he said who it was. Heyman went out to the ring and Cole said that he could take Heyman any time but then Funaki came out for the match. Heyman and Funaki briefly had a bout until Heidenreich came out and destroyed Funaki. Heyman and Cole were yelling at each other on the floor and Heidenreich came out and chased Cole through the crowd.

The main event saw all of the lumberjacks come out. They were the workers who appeared tonight on Velocity and Smackdown, plus Luther Reigns. It was a good match that went back and forth until Reigns got in the ring to interfere. When he did, all of the lumberjacks got involved and it was a melee with everyone going after each other. This kept up until Big Show made his return, came out to the ring and chokeslammed everyone. He cleaned house and left. There was no official finish to the bout.

After the match, Eddie Guerrero was left in the ring. They did the X sign and the trainers and Fit Finlay came out and attended to him, but he eventually got up and walked to the back on his own power. RVD and Rey Mysterio stayed out with him until he made his way to the back.

Smackdown was getting good, then they make Suzuki a champ and showed Hardcore Holly on TV again.

Well, at least Big Show's back, and finally Michael Cole is involved in some way in a storyline. That leaves Tony Chimmel, Josh Matthews, and that jobber interviewer on RAW who havnt been in a storyline, unless you count Josh getting attacked by John Heikeshmeil.

Could they be setting up a Kidman/London feud, if so, that match would be awesome.

So a Last Ride match...

Same as an ambulance match, just substitute the ambulance with a hearse. Very original, indeed.

Why didn't they just call it a casket match?

No it's only that Todd Grisham (Raw jobber interviewer) that hasn't been involved in a storyline. You could count Josh being in a storyline, and Chimmel has been 'sacked' by Kurt Angle.

Besides, Michael Cole's been involved in storylines in the past e.g. DX making fun of him, and Austin beating the crap outta him after his heel turn

From what I've glimpsed of SD, Kidman and is it Paul London were a good team. They should let one team have a good run and not split up

You guys don't see the big picture,a Kidman/London fued might be in the work. If it is, that mean their singles career is on a rise. I rather for them to be a one on one fued with or without a title than to be tag team champions.

Angle vs.Eddie was the main event again, can't complain about that.

Luther Reigns is actually a good big guy unlike Heindenreich,Nathan Jones, etc. Im looking forward to the Luther Reigns/Eddie fued. Everybody talks about Cena and Orton being the future, the next top superstar is the guy people don't expect. I'm not saying Luther is the next top WWE star but you never know.

Maybe Dupree and Kenzo being champs is a good thing. I rather see these guys in tag matches then singles matches. Haas/Rico team might be returning to challenge them.

SD actually have storylines behind their matches.
Taker/JBL
Cena/Booker
Eddie/Luther
Angle and Show will probably fued
The Kidman storyline
Spike and Rey fued

I think this Smackdown was preety good. I mean first it looks lik Kidman might turn heel on Londen. Kidman vs. London is :y: Next finally Rene gets a title I would have been happier if it was a US title but :y: I kinda like the idea of a Last ride match. And then the WWE surprises us by running a commercial that says Big show will return in two weeks and yet he returns at smackdown. If you ask me I think this is going to turn out to be a real good show. And plus they're using Michael Cole in a storyline. I would have preferred Tazz going up against Heyman. But who knows that might be where WWE is going with this.

I like Kidman/London, but seriously, after the feud where are they going? The WWE aren't going to push these guys as singles. I wish they would, but it ain't happening. And way to break up the best team on Smackdown really quick.

Agreed. Sure, a London push would be cool, but small guys ain't getting pushed. The closest thing to a small guy being pushed was Mysterio hanging with Angle, Guerrero and Big Show for a while. Then he got smashed in a turnbuckle and dropped on his head, then returned to midcard.

I'm hoping it's really on the show and the "Big Show coming in 2 weeks" deal was only meant to be a teaser.</font>

Hey, at least we have a surprse AND a high-adrenaline ending...

But geez, Kidman and London haven't even been together long enough to make a split shocking or meaningful. This is like the third time this year they've split a team that's been together only a couple of months and then called it shocking. I guess they've totally forgotten about the meaning of "patience."

Also, this just about leaves no face tag teams in the division now... good going guys. They'll just throw Haas and RVD together and feud them with the foreigners now.

See this whole Kidman-London thing continues along the same problems that the WWE is having witht heir booking. They hear a few people cheering for Orton, so they give himt he title and turn him face in under a month.

Now they had something going with Kidman and London as a team (they were the only interestign team on either brand) and they have a small issue, and isntead of milking it, they blow it off in 2 weeks. Hell they didn't even bother to do a Chavo/Noble vs Kidman/London match on TV, much less on 1 or 2 PPVs.

All this hot shotting makes people numb to anything that happens, and nobody really cares about what happens because it changes so quickly.

As for Kidman-London as a program, they will have a good match, likely at No Mercy, but after that the winner will go on to fight for the CW title while the loser gets a 3 month program with Funaki on Velocity.

Well, here's how I hope the Kidman/London thing turns out: they get the match at the next PPV, but afterwards, they get attacked by Dupree/Suzuki. Despite the two still at odds with each other, they deside to bury the hatchet just so they can take the Tag titles off of Dupree/Suzuki. This leads to the next Smackdown PPV, where Kidman regains the Tag belts after debuting his new finisher.

Anyway, that's what I hope will happen. The tag title has been needing a storyline for a long time.

Also, did you notice Dupree doing the dance at the end of the match? I thought he was banned from doing that. He even got Suzuki to dance and prance (quite badly, I might add).
