NL: Bonds deserves it like always but I don't think they can give it to him if Dodgers win the West because Adrian Beltre is just ridiculous
If Rolen, Pujols, and Edmonds weren't on the same team, they would all have a legit chance of winning it but none of them will.
AL: I think Manny will get it unless the Sox completely tank this month which I doubt will happen

Yeah, Beltre's year IMO.
In the AL, Manny or Vlad
Out of those two i'd say Vlad.

NL: Bonds
AL: Rameriz or Sheffield.
Mannys having a great year, Sheff on the other hand has single handedly kept the Yanks alive while everyone around him has fallen apart.

Whilst injured and playing in the AL after a very long time in the NL i might add :p
But yeah, Ortiz has had just as productive a year as Manny...But Millar, Damon, Mueller etc have all been consistently great for a lot of the year too. Bernie Williams, Posada, Derek Jeter and obviously Giambi have all had off years to varying degrees, even A-Rod hasn't had a complete stunner of a year offensively.

Unless the Giants make the playoffs I don't see Bonds getting it, especially since he's won 6 already. That is one of the big reasons why I feel Beltre will get it this year. Now, should the Giants make the playoffs...

Barry Bonds in the NL. I really don't think it's a contest. He's hitting nearly .380, and his 197 walks for the season give him like 330 at-bats. He's got 40 homers. If he had, say, a human 100 walks for the year, that'd be an extra 100 at-bats, which would mean probably an extra 10-12 homers, which would put him at or above 50 for the year. Without him, the Giants would be dead last.
AL is a tad harder. If the Angels win the division, it's hard to knock Vlad. If the Red Sox make the playoffs, it's hard to knock Manny. But Sheffield has been the only productive hitter all season long [save Matsui, who's numbers aren't good enough to merit MVP consideration] for the first-place Yankees. I think it's between those three.
