To some people it did. Not to others. Some feel Larry David leaving hurt the show, which I kinda agree with. But wouldn't say it jumped.

Seinfeld was lame in like the last couple episodes, besides that it was always perfect.
A lot of people think South Park is better now than ever, but it simply lost its outrageousness, its shock value mind you.
The Simpsons is the show that has gone down hill, its not even funny for the past five years.

The "Star Trek" shows definietly jumped the shark with Voyager --- there's a reason why Spike TV isn't playing it nonstop --- but with the individual series that preceded it (the original show, Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine) I don't think that their was a particular jump-the-shark moment in either one.

The Simpsons went down hill after the 34567819th episode completly revolving around Homer and some new "wacky" situation he has been put in.
Jumping the shark isn't simply going down hill. It's when a show just goes that bit too far and then becomes a bit of a joke. I think its called that after Fonzy literally jumped over a shark on waterskis in happy days one time

It's been a bit mixed, but it actually got better last season.

I agree not all episodes are gold but new ones like when Homer was about to get assassinated, or when they went to the ranch are awesome.

The Frank Grimes Junior episode? That was one of the worst offenders...

Which is different than the 34567819th episode where Kramer came up with a wacky scheme, George pretended to be somebody he wasn't to impress a woman, and Jerry was whiny?
Than the 34567819th episode where Ray's parents bother Debra, so Debra bothers Ray, so Ray is whiny?
Than the 34567819th episode where Lucy tries to get into Ricky's show, Ricky tells her no, she schemes her way into it, and messes it up, understanding in the end that Ricky was right?

Simpsons jumped the shark when the storyline where something happens and they have to go somewhere to sort it out. Bart Vs Australia was awesome. The rest have been dire.
