Has anybody seen this? This movie was hot shit in my neighborhood back like 10 years ago when it came out, and I bought it the other day on DVD. Its still a sweet movie, just as cool as I remembered it. Just wondering if anybody else has seen it and what they think.

Wow, that's a movie I haven't seen in years. I need to pick that up and see that again.

Brought the extended edition in MVC as part of a buy 3 for £20 deal. Awesome film and the extended bits really change how I percieved certain characters.

Yeah, I throught it was awesome too, of course, it still actually falls second on my Robin Hood movies, behind, Men In Tights

Men In Tights is much better than Prince of Thieves, but it's not really the same kind of movie, regardless of the title character.

Also, I remember going to see Men In Tights when it first came out as well

We saw it a few weeks before it was released thanks to advance passes we got, and it's still one of my favorite comedies. I know lines of dialogue and scenes by memory (which is sad, I know). But yeah, another movie that rules ass :y:

What are the extended bits if you remember? I have no idea if I have them since it was like 10 years in between viewings.

I don't think I have the extended version :nono:

Also, was Costner in The Last of the Mohicans? For some reason I keep thinking he is. He is like the old school Mel Gibson, in all the epics.

Has anybody seen Dances with Wolves lately? Back it the day it was a huge deal around the neighborhood, but when I watched it recently it just went on really really long.

Daniel Day Lewis was in Mohicans. Which is possibly an even more kick ass movie. Plus, he is the man in everything he does.

I haven't seen Dances with Wolves. It's long but I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I rather enjoy Costner, even if some of his stuff isn't all that great. Waterworld was bad, but I liked The Postman. JFK is great too.

***Spoilers***
The extended bits where all the bits involving the Sheriff and the old Hag. Turns out the Hag is his mother and killed the kid and then put the sheriff in his place. She then killed the parents and raised him as if they had entrusted him to her. She was also a fake and spied on everything the sheriff did, making all the visions she had false. There was some other stuff where the Sheriff worshipped the devil and a bit where he talked to some council about dividing up the country when he becomes king.

I caught a bit of it on tv a few days ago - good memories.

That song by Bryan Adams "Everything I do" from the film was no1 here for like 5 billion weeks. Or at least like 30.

Love the movie. Morgan Freeman is the man. My favorite part is when Will Scarlet is tied down and is about to get his head chopped off, then Robin Hood comes in and saves him with the arrow shot.

It's ok. I used to love it when I was younger. Interested in these extended bits.
