iPods are over-priced fashion accessories.

Nah I have so many CD's and it is fucking annoying carrying around your CD case when you go traveling and shit. You got everything with you when you have an i-pod yeah they are expensive but worth it.

My point stands. There are far cheaper (but less trendy, oh no) alternatives around, one of which I own. And it has around 4000 tracks or so on it, just since that's the point of the topic. Nowhere near full either.

I have an ipod and HATE it, there are better mp3 players on the market for less the price and have better features than the ipod. Oh yeah, 2012 songs.

My school has a deal with apple so with my computer I got a cheap 20 gig one. I don't care if you people don't like them or are jealous or whatever, because it is the most convienent thing ever. I am sure there are cheaper ones out there, but I like the way this works and the organization to it. I couldn't live without it. BTW Apple > PC

Why would anyone be jealous of ipods? :?:

Someone recommend me a good one that is cheaper then.

I am looking to get one.

I wouldn't go so far as to call them fashion accessories...but they are overrated.

I love my iPod. Holds all the music I'll ever have, and I don't have any problems with it.

Mind you, I'm sure there are perfectly acceptable alternatives, but I got my iPod back when it was really the onyl MP3 player that would hold entire libraries of songs.

Some people treat them as fashion accessories, as they're very much "in".

Nobody treats them as fashion accessories, MP3 players have taken over CD players and if you don't have one by now you are living in the past. Nobody buys an iPod just so they can be seen with an iPod.

I'll just step aside now since I'm obviously "living in the past" with my CD player.

Not ripping on anybody who doesn't have an MP3 player, since they are still really really expensive, but just like DVD's have taken over VHS and everything is converting into digital now (0's and 1's), CD players are close to the end of their reach.

Trust me, they do. A lot of people blindly follow the iPod brand despite there being cheaper (and some would say better) alternatives.
