1. You can't kill random people because according to the makers "Tony wouldn't do that" However if somebody gets in the way of a grenade or speeding car, then accidents happen.
-While Tony wouldn't do that, you have to remember that it's the gamer controlling Tony's actions. It puts a strain towards what the player can and cannot do in a blatant way, and diminishes the interactive feeling the player should have. Players should be given the freedom to do so, and then suffer the consequences for doing so. Likewise, they should be rewarded for not doing so and sticking with the nature of Tony. Freedom of choice is always key for these types of games. I'm sure it wouldn't be in Tony's nature to also survive hundreds of gunshot wounds, especially a point-blank shotgun blast to the spinal column, before dropping 15 ft. to his death. (More on that later.)
2. Tony has a "provoke" and a "nice" dialogue button option. Apparently you can go up to anybody and Tony will curse them off. This can also be used during firefights to intimidate your opponent. Nothing is said about the "nice" dialogue.
-Not really sure what to think about this one. I can see where the mechanics can be applied well into the game to make things interactions with NPC's more interesting, but I can also see this becoming a redundant facet of the gameplay.
3. Tony has a "Rage Meter" that lets him get shot multiple times and he will freak out.
-This one is self explanitory. People don't become enraged when shot multiple times...they die. That's what they do. The Rage Meter should have never left the drawing board. In fact, it's amazing that it even made it that far. Enough said.
4. Tony will not be doing any drugs in the game because that is a no no from the ESRB (despite the fact that its an "M" Game)
-In GTA III, the character was able to pick up pills and after a few of them, fall into a drug-induced "state of awareness". No excuses. Actually, the Rage Meter would make more sense to the nature of Tony if he were to take drugs, and then fall into a rage, able to withstand multiple gunshot wounds...as portayed in the film.
5. You do lots of drug deals in the game, but you'll never know if its with an actual buyer until the person flashes a badge. If its a cop you may be able to bribe him, but if its a Fed you might be in trouble and have to shoot your way out.
-This is one aspect of the game that, so far, actually shows promise. But it definitely needs more depth. If not...deals will get old...real quick. Because the depth to this only goes as far as three probabilities of outcome...which seems will be random...unless its scripted, then they will REALLY become monotonous very quickly. Bribing of police should be something that affects your whole operation....not just a little deal. The bribing of officers should also be implemented to acquire their services against other rival organizations...not just to get out of a deal. Basically what Mel Bernstein offered to Tony through extorsion methods of his own.
6. You can get henchman in the game who will watch over your house, assist you in missions, drive you around while you make drug deals, or do the shooting while you're driving.
-Another part of the game that shows promise...and if executed correctly, will be one of the best factor of the game.
But if you ask me...the #1 reason I see this game heading down the same fateful path as Frank Lopez, arent for the reasons mentioned above. As you would guess, its the blatant detraction to the films story. Radical Games...what are you thinking? I dont mean to sound offensive, but this idea isnt a good one. You dont have to take my word for it, or anyone else's. Its your game and your publishers money. But believe the poor sales when this title ships. Im not saying this game wont have the graphics, sound, and possibly good gameplay. But the story...its the story that made this film great...and its the story in this game that will be its own undoing.
To bring back Tony from the dead puts him in the same category as Jason, Michael Myers, and Freddy. Tony isnt that type of monster. He had envy, abused his power, lived a life of excess, and payed for it with his life. Just like any human can and will if they lead that kind of life. THATS what the moral of the story was about. To bring him back from the dead for revenge against Sosa places his nature and human traits into the land of fantasy and fiction, and thats not what this character was all about. He might as well return as a zombie with an new-found appetite for human flesh while your're at it.
From what I've seen of it, it's just another GTA knockoff...
I'm not a fan of Scarface... As a matter of fact, I've never seen it... So I wont be getting this...

I love Scarface and all but if they are making a scarface game then the least they could do is use the whole GTA rip off. Thats the perfect thing for a scarface game. Anything else is just crap. I dont think this game will turn out that good. But many people will buy it and then complain so its there fault and not mine.
