Read the announcements, bub. You have to use a rating scale now to explain your rating. Granted, you are not part of the problem bunch that the new rule was set up for, but the rules apply to everybody.

All right. Here's my chart. The favoritism part does not count in my final score.

Favoritism: 7
Wrestling(In ring skills): 9
Charisma/Mic skills(Promos, ease with crowds): 6
Entertainment(Does he provide it?): 8
Dedication: 5

Final Score(Average): 7

Dedication includes Politic and other factors. For example, Mick Foley and Sabu would get major scores in dedication because they were almost willing to die on the job(figuratively). I guess it would count as the heart/courage attribute in some RPGs.

I'm not gonna include a backstage politics rating, because I don't think any of us really know enough about that to make an accurate rating, and because I watch wrestling for the show, and I don't really care if the guy is an asshole backstage.

Brock is a pretty good wrestler, and was fairly over. So we start him with an 8.5.

I'm going to add half a point because he was the youngest credible champion ever (I don't think Orton was very credible, and he only held the belt for a month, and has/had no where the heat/pop/whatever, Brock had). So Brock is at a 9.

I'm going to add another half point because he was an absolute monster in the ring, and could carry a great match. Putting him up at 9.5.

Now the decutions. I'm taking a whole point away from him because of Paul Heyman and the way Brock was pushed. Brock was given the Goldberg treatment basically, and I believe the Goldberg treatment would work on anyone that size, and with Heyman the mouth piece of the operation, it can't fail. Heyman can hype anything, and make it look good. Because of these reasons, I don't think Brock would have had half the heat he did, and it would have taken much longer for him to get where he got, if at all. So that is why he loses a full point, bring him back down to 8.5.

I'm taking another half point because of how he acted around fans. At autograph signings and other such events, Brock was a complete ass. He barely made an effort to look at people, came in and out without saying a word. And basically spit on the people paying his salary when all they wanted was to say hi and get a hand shake. It is one thing for a celebrity to get ticked off at someone asking for an autograph and bothering them while they are trying to have a private moment, it is another to ignore people during a p.r. event, so he is now down to 8.

And Brockly loses another half point for the Goldberg fued. Anyone that makes me pick Goldberg (btw, I hate Goldberg) over them in a fued is trash. So now he is down to 7.5.

And finally, the way Brock left the business that made him famous loses him another half point. Now if his contract was going to be up, and he acknowledged the fact that WWE put him in a position where he could be drafted/given a try out at almost any football camp at his age, it would be different. But no, Brock all but took a shit on wrestling with the way he left, and further more, with the way he ignores it now. Bring him to an even 7.

Also, I'm taking a another tenth of a point because he had to injure one of the Cheifs' backup quarterbacks in a practice game. I'm all for hating the KC Cheifs, cause they win me money (I'm the one guy in KC that will bet against the Cheifs), but it is another thing to injure players and start fights at a practice game. So Brock goes to 6.9

Final Score: 6.8

(I dropped him another point because I hate his crappy tattoes)

Wrestling Ability/Workrate: 7.5 (He had his moments where he showed he had great talent, but in his later run, it's almost as if he didn't care if his matches were good or not)

Overness: 9.0 (He was Over, the fans started to resent him after a few, heel-face-heel turns, and besides his overpush in my eyes, he made the best of it and prove it was a smart move boosting him to the top)

Potential: N/A ( I don't know how to grade this, since I don't know if he is continue to go after football or one day return to Wrestling)

Charisma: 5 (I said before I don't give below fives, This guy needed Haymen as his mouth piece)

Finisher/Movelist: 9.5 (I loved the F-5, until they started getting Shittier and shiiter, his SSP was decent, plus he worked what moves he did well)

Influence: 8.5 (Sadly, Brock started a new wave for Vince and his booking Squad, if it wasn't for Brock getting so over with his mega push from the start, We may not of seen Orton, Cena and Eugene getting the chance to be so over, So I guess I owe the bastard some thanks)

My Opinion: 7.5 (I'm not really that big of a Lesnar fan, Hell the only time I cared was when he was going after the Title the first time)

He was just a big man. The only reason he got a 7, and not a 5 is he can botch a shooting star press... 1 point because he can do it, .5 because of his size, and .5 because it makes me enjoy watching everyone else do it.

And yes, the four points are not for him, they're for Heyman.

He gets 4.2, and some pennies if he comes to my house for halloween.

And no, the 4.2 is not being unfair. It's the avarage of all his other point. He should take what he has, be thankful, and then move to West Hollywood, and get a make over.

<FONT color=cyan>How the crap does Brock get high marks? He wasn't that great. He wasn't that great in the ring, I'll give him props for being over, his work rate should get shot down since at first he said he was doing it for money, the whole "kill internet fans" was a horrible move (and I'm not even touching what he said about homosexuals, since that was after sold out), and he had no freakin' mic skills. I know everyone is entitled to what they think, but it's upsetting to see hoss who really knew 3 good moves (and could only do two of them) get high ratings.

prolly Goldberg...

FourFifty
09-15-2004, 08:16 PM
Are you thinking of brock or Goldberg.

<font color=cyan>I'm unpressed by most large wrestlers unless they have something to impress me with. Rikishi, albeit he became a glorfied jobber near the end of his contract, could very easily beat a man with a superkick. When you put Vader on the top rope for a moonsault, here comes the pain! If he could go for more than a year without an injury, Kevin Nash could be a legit badass. When The Giant in WCW did a dropkick, that was cool. Big Poppa Pump could work the mic, and hit a guy with a great looking belly to belly suplex. A-Train, Nathan Jones, Matt Morgan, Hulk Hogan,

Goldberg would get little more than I gave Lesnar because he didn't talk as much so there's plus one for mic skills. He never said he was going to kill a group of people, so give him a few points for that. Goldberg had an awsome spear, the Jackhammer was totally decent, and no, he didn't have that much more... But I don't recall Lesnar being the man of 1,000 holds.
It takes more than just some big guy kicking ass to impress me. I want to see various holds. I want to see someone who can adjust to the style of the other wrestler he's working with. It doesn't take much for me to enjoy a gimmick, but it takes a lot for me to enjoy watching a wrestler.

Loose Cannon
09-15-2004, 09:00 PM
Brock was one hell of a wrestler. He was a premier collegiate wrestler and pretty much dominated the competition. He won so many Championships and Titles. Last I checked, you better know some dam holds if you want to compete and suceed in NCAA College wrestling. The WWE never let him do half the stuff he could do because that wasn't his character. His character was a monster who dominated his opponents with power moves, plain and simple. Although he did use the "Brock Lock." Brock did the Shooting Star a number of times in OVW, but the WWE didn't let him bring it with him.

I'm assuming your ranking Nash higher then Brock from your post above. Come on, what did Nash have on Brock? Nash could be a legit bad ass? What was Brock then? He was a killer when he first came in and was feared by everyone. Brock had some great matches with Guerrero, Angle, and even Big Show amongst others. Hell, he even made that Holly match entertaining. He was conditioned very well and proved that by going an hour with Angle. Brock, while not great, was very good. He definately wasn't just your "ordinary" hoss IMO.

And the Internet thing. Who cares, that's outside of wrestling. Jericho got mad at the Internet fans once. Granted he didn't want to "kill" them, but I Didn't see anyone throwing his rant against him when rating him.

and most of that comes from the fact he can do a SSP at his size.

FourFifty
09-15-2004, 11:31 PM
<font color=cyan>With much respect to ya, Loose Cannon, I can't take anything away from Brock that he did away from the wrestling ring. I can only judge what I've seen. I have never seen anything on OVW, so I can't judge his SSP in OVW. I've never seen his college wrestling, so I can't judge that.

What I can judge is what the WWE let me see. So my low score.... Blame Vince. Blame Vince for not comming up with a voice for Brock like they did with the sarge. Brock could have looked better in the ring if Vince would have let him be a monster with a mind. If you want to look at stereotypes, big men aren't much for submissions or a wide range of suplexes and other moves.

One thing that I never brought up was Brock's potential.... A monster that was given it all very easily could have dropped the title in the name of revenge, because hell, he's Brock Lesnar, and he could win that title anytime! If he didn't leave after WMXX, it could have been a damn good storyline.
Oh, and getting on his knees, Begging Vince... Brock was a heel, so just have him take out a few jobbers, a mid carder here and there, maybe a "fan" in the crowd, a ref, until he got what he wanted (his match VS Goldberg).

He could have been better in the WWE, but no dice... I'm sure there are a number of wrestlers who shot off at the internet fans, however, I don't believe anyone else has said he would kill people.

To each their own, and this is my own.

Also, can I suggest a wrestler(s) for a future RTW?

If so - maybe you could run one on Vader or Marc Mero?

Vader is going to be ran within the next 10 days, not sure when Mero/Johnny B Badd will get his time

I'm closing this in a hour...If anyone else needs to vote do so, You can even do it without the Rating Chart thingy, as long as your scores are between 5.5 and 9

If you want your 4.1 or whatever to count, gimme a chart of some kind, and make it snappy
