I dunno if anyone has ever heard of Chart Wars, but basically its like wrestling simulators or games like Championship Manager, but set in the music industry instead.

Basically you take control of your own label, negotiate bands, basically do all the stuff labels would do, as well as seeing a game world develop as you go.

Anyway, Chart Wars 3 is being released on Thursday the 23rd of September, and I really encourage anyone interested in a music manager style game to check it out.

You can look at the Chart Wars forum, where most information and obviously most discussion goes on, at ChartWars.Com (http://www.chartwars3.com)

OR visit the official website at Osiris Games (http://www.osirisgames.com/)

So far, not so good.

Theres been about 4 patches, and each one can't even fix one simple error that pops up every time.

I finally decided to give this a long go today with the 5th patch came out, and in the long run it is a hell of a lot of fun.

Its not challenging at all though (Every single album and single I have released has topped the charts instantly), and the database is quite terrible. I mean the guy is quite obviously a punk fan because his record label in the Hall Of Fame bit is called "Osiris Wreck Chords", yet despite this, Fat Wreck, nor any of the bands on it are in the game.

That said, I have been playing this all day, and its definatly a lot of fun. With little more realism and a larger and more accurate database, this game will kick all kinds of ass.

Oh, and the sixth patch is out now.

The crashes are avoidable most of the time. For instance, save before you decide a manufacturer for a disc (I always get problems with that. Particularly with the Canadian one) and when clicking on recently recorded singles. For some reason, my Nirvana (Ill tell you about how I got them activated in a sec) and Green Day singles keep crashing every time I click on them, making it impossible for me to release them.

If you type "Jack Endino" as your name when you start off, you get Nirvana on your record label. Im not kidding. In the new version (The one coming out after 1.09) will let you get Elvis too. The Beatles are also available, but crash your game when you click on them.

Work perfectly fine on mine.

Just wait until the (sighs) 10th patch and it maybe fixed. Maybe we get a new editor, that, I don't know...works?

Oh, and awesome update. I read your post on the Chart Wars 3 forum.

Also, Donington is in Leicester, not Derby.

I'll put anyone onto the update as long as you give me as much info as possible, because searching for that stuff is a nightmare.

Also, I didn't put Donington on the game.
