PWTorch.com reports the *RUMOR* that Teddy Long may be replaced as GM of SmackDown in the coming months.

Apparently, those backstage are already talking about possible replacements. Clearly, no SmackDown! GM has been successful in maintaining his or her position on the show, and it seems Long may be the next removed from the inconsistent position.

Remember, this is just a rumor.

Long is doing a fine job in my opinion. Having him around saves us from another crappy heel GM.

And it keeps us away from a crappy face GM like Stephanie McMahon

if this is true, who would everyone like to see as the next Smackdown GM?

Heyman he should never have been taken out of that position in the first place.

agreed. Although Angle as GM did allow him to get some decent heat during his injury

Here's an idea, don't bother with a new GM if Long does go.

Now that is a good idea. It would certainly (and thankfully) spell the end for those horrible boss VS employee wrestler angles that have been done over and over until as stale as seven week old bread. We have good memories, mostly Vince VS Austin, and my recent favourite Cena and Benoit making Heyman eat soap, but lets call it a day and get back to wrestler-wrestler feuds.

its a very interesting idea. but it seems the WWE think its modern to have an 'autority figure' to make matches and influence the wrestlers. who else is there thst would suit the role?

Heidenreich should be the new GM. :shifty:

I don't think the rumor's true at all, and frankly Teddy's a pretty good GM. He's a nice change of pace; a rather fair decision maker.

How about .. oh ... Funaki? Smackdown's Numba One GM!!

Or maybe Eddie, just to give him some time off without taking him out of the spotlight. (Worked for Angle...)

Teddy so far has been the best GM, with Heyman a close second.

I have no idea who could replace him (if true the rumors) without joking... but I'll do it anyway. Possible good choices could be The Mountie, Gangrel, Doink, Giant Gonzalez, and finally Luke and Butch, the Bushwhackers.

if it isn't Teddy, it MUST be Heyman.

Angle was kind of cool, but those two were the only ones worth most of a crap as SmackDown GM.

Heyman was the best smackdown GM ever, everyone else sucked at it. I honestly can't think of anyone...beside Vince Russo, but that would be gayer than gay.

maybe Big Sexy Kevin "Big Daddy Cool" Nash would do it, but it would be great if they fit all his names into one.
