Taken from Mike Aldren's news letter Wrestling 365
'Eddie Guerrero was involved in a car accident
on Wednesday night in Tampa Florida, Wrestling365 can
reveal. I'm told that he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed
into another vehicle on his way home from the airport
following the Smackdown tapings in Phoenix. Both vehicles
were totalled and Guerrero was treated for minor injuries at
the scene along with another local man.
Both men were said to be very lucky to be alive. . .
Many in the Smackdown locker room are very worried
about Eddie's health at the moment and this latest incident
doesn't bode well for the former WWE Champion.'

More proof he needs a rest.
Yes... I hope he gets over this... I hope for the best for him...

So sad to here such a talent going through such stress.Vince needs to do something before he hurts himself or someoe else.

give the guy a break... all he needs is a break to sort things out and then there should be less stress which would help him out as well as the WWE in the long run cause he is an important guy to the roster.

I saw Vince should give him some leave no matter what the guy says. Tell him to take a break for his sake and the sake of others. I hope this wreck was a wake up call for him to realize that he might need some time off to get his head back on his shoulders.

Eddie needs to think of himself a little. :( I'd personally rather have Eddie go away for a month, and know that he's healthy and feeling good when he comes back, then see him weak after weak, knowing he's going through what he is.

Eddie get some time off for your own sake
After hearing this I'm much more concerned for Eddie. I agree with everyone else here that Eddie needs some time off. Perhaps there could be an injury angle in Eddie's match against Luther Reigns at No Mercy so Eddie can get out for a month, and then come back and continue his feud.

Ya for real give him a 2 or 3 months break and then he'll come back and dominate like he did earlier this year
Have him go over Luther cleanly at No Mercy, then after the match have Kurt attack him from behind with a tire iron or somthing, then let the beating begin. Include a big bump from Luther to make him look impressive, and bam, you have both men exiting looking good, and Eddie can be out for however long he needs to be.

Same as everyone else has said... I hope he wasn't under anything when he fell asleep. Geez... but he seriously needs a break. Some time with his family and his daughters could do a lot of good, as long as he perceive's that it's not a punishment or anything like that.

I agree with everyone that Eddie needs a break. It is better that he is taking a break, getting healthy than watching him on TV just feeling worse and worse. WWE should take a clue and after the Luther fued, give him that well deserved break. He needs it.
The fact that he fell asleep at the wheel really doesn't have to have any connection to drugs or anything.

I think Eddie is depressed or something right now as he thinks the ratings are down because of him and all that. His past also tells a little story or something, he should get some time off and stuff.
Alright what they should do with Eddie is have him get injured by Reigns leading up to NM. At the PPV Eddie fights through the injury and gets a win but he has to be out for two - three months. Vince should speak to Eddie and tell him what an asset he is to the company.

I'd like him to take time off, then come back. But he's got to be on RAW when he comes back.

I agree with MVP. The best scenario for all involved would be to play out an injury storyline at No Mercy. Perhaps have Eddie win the match, but "injure" himself doing the frogsplash. He comes up limping at the end of the match, and Luther exploits it immediately. Maybe even get (SMACKDOWN SPOILER) Mark Jindrak involved in a beatdown.
Have the two of them work over Eddie's injury while Cole and Tazz shill their asses off about "Eddie Guerrero's career must be flashing before his eyes!" Maybe at the end of it, have someone like Van Dam do an armed run-in to drive off the heels.
What this does is:
a) Gives Eddie Guerrero some time off to get his head together and get away from all the stress
b) Makes Luther Reigns (and Jindrak, if he's involved) look dangerous as hell
c) Gives Van Dam a logical singles feud instead of attaching him as a tag team partner
d) Keeps Kurt Angle out of the situation so his feud with Undertaker can start

Fucking Rikishi....Nah j/k Good thing he's alive.
glad he's ok, it's a good thing the injuries were only minor
loopydate summed it up pretty well for me.
His fatigue or whatever you wish to call it doesn't seem to be affecting him in the ring really, which means he is definitely a great performer. However, this will end up catching up with him, and he could end up hurting someone else, so I agree with many people in this thread and please Eddie, TAKE SOME TIME OFF :y:

I know. I was just playing worstcase scenario.
Anyway, loopy's little fantasy booking sounds pretty cool. Plus, when he came back, that'd be one helluva pop.

no more title reigns for eddie i guess :(
he cant seem to handle it...which really sucks

Well, car crash aside, I do agree with you from the little I've read on this issue that Eddie resorting back to the bottle can be a concern now. We can only hope not.
