Not as bad as I thought it would be. The only bad thing (to me) is everytime you level up you have to pause go to the details screen and level up. and all the characters dont level at the same time so you could be pausing every 30 seconds. Its cool that its basicaly playing Gauntlet with X-men. I finally got Gambit... Not sure Why Jubilee is in the game but i have yet to see Arch Angel, One of the originals.

I don't think Angel is in the game.
The game is based on the Ultimate X Men Series and at the time of the game being made Angel had not appeard in the Ultimate X Men comics.
If he is in it will either be as Angel, with the normal wings or as Archangel with the metallic wings given to him by Apocalypse.

Got the game two days ago.. it's fun.. but the loadings are a pain.. plus I don't like how at times there will be voices for the dialog.. then you'd just have to read it sometime. etc. etc.

I didn't even realize this was out yet.

Well, "Star Wars Battlefront," "Day of Reckoning," and "Wario Ware" are all due back tomorrow, so I'll see if Hollywood has it.

How the hell do you beat Marrow? I killed her 5 times but she keeps reviving herself

In the room you fight Marrow, there are 4 alcove's in the room, one in each corner. Right after you kill her, run to an alcove and kill the gyu that shows up there. You have to do this 4 times. You'll notice after every guy you kill that she re-spawns with less health.

Anyway, yeah... the game is not that bad. I'm kind of blown that you can't start a new game with your built up characters. Or even go back and play other missions. I mean, you unlock Psylocke with like 3 levels left... and most stuff in those 3 levels are mental resistent. Kind of lame. Not much replay value here...

Thanks....yeah that was pissing me off..Nightcrawler seems to be the most effective X-men with his teleporting drop kicks. After psylocke is there another X-man to get? there is still one blue spot in the character select.

I started playing this today. It's keeping me entertained for a bit, but I don't imagine I'll finish it any time soon with THUG 2 coming out next week, then quite a few more games in the very near future.

They really should've implemented some sort of first person look camera or something. The camera is fine 90% of the time, but when you missed that one transformer and have to go looking around for it in overhead view, it really is frustrating.

I got this because I wanted to play through with 3 friends, but it's starting to seem more and more like it was designed as a single player game, then they threw in the co-op thing last minute.

For anyone who has the game, did you play as Iceman? What's he like?

Yeah he is one of the main guys. He's pretty cool you can slide around in the air on ice and once you level up high enough you can actually freeze people in place. I usualy have him as one of the guys on my team.

Is it just me or is Wolverine totally over powered? I know you can raise your stats any way you want pretty much, but everyone of his stats are like 4-6 points higher than all my stats for Colossus, and they are only one level apart.

It's not a horrible game, could of been much better though. The game is definitely like 3x harder when you are playing Co-op. It's just because of human error I am sure, but we never had heal kits when we were playing Co-op, I have no problem keeping them maxed in single player though.

Iceman is ok, I prefer to use other characters though. My "Pwn j00 asorz" team is Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean, and Storm. Storm's lightning is ruthless once you get it up. It does tons of damage and bounces of targets like 5 times. One Bolt pretty much can clear the screen for me. Cyclops is great for sniping bosses. His Optic blast can kill most anything in one hit and takes chunks of life off of bosses. Jean again, has a area effect attack, once you level that up and also level up her passive ability "Telekentic Combat", she's another one move, screen clearing character. Wolvie I usually have in because of his regen, it's very nice to have early on. If I don't have him in I will put in Nightcrawler, his teleport flurry is great, you can take away about 300-400 per hit when it's maxed, and it hits 8 times when it's maxed. Also his Xtreme attack is great for bosses. If they don't have physical resistance, you can hit them for 800-900 per hit, for like 10 hits. Crazy stuff!

I actually did start a new game, I wanted to try and find all the comics. Oh, and a word to the wise, play the danger room missions. Get to Qualifying exam 400, I can get about 2.3 mil per fight on average. Great for leveling up characters :) and even if you fail you still keep the exp you got during the test.

It just so happened to be at EB the day I went to get my Silent Hill 4 soundtrack so that's been like, almost two weeks we've had it, Xbox version of course. Everyone keeps saying 20 hours but last game time was 30:24 with maybe an hour max of playtime left, apparently some people like to rush through the game and don't pay much attention to anything, waste of money I say. blueskies: I laughed, that just seemed like a ridiculous statement to me. AareDub: Also laughed at this, but harder. The camera angles aren't any more complicated or bothersome than any other game, everything can't be spot on perfect. As for the single playerish feel, well I have no earthly idea where the hell you get that.

X-Team: Storm, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Rogue/ (or for like the last two levels) Psylocke, Gambit, Rogue and Jean in Phoenix costume.

You forgot Colossus, Wolverine, Cyclops and the White Queen (aka Emma frost)

Lol.. What's so ridiculous about my comment? I mean, everytime you go into character and back onto the game, it has to load back to the map. Everything you do has to load back onto the map. And as for the voice dialogue, I figure the only reason most of the X-men never has the voice is because the developer didn't want to take its time making up the voices for each characters (since the player you're controlling will be the one talking). So yeah.. go ahead and laugh all you want. ;]

I didn't say it had to be perfect, but it's hard to find a game these days that doesn't have an alternate camera or even a free look camera. Does it ruin the game for me? No. Is it occasionally very annoying and bothersome? Yes. I even said that it is fine 90% of the time. No need to criticize others for their opinions, it's not like we were totally trashing the game or anything

I'm not one for Colossus really :-\ , Wolverine is just too powerful and seems to give no challenge to anything, Cyclops I used for awhile but I never really liked him to begin with so eh, and I was Emma for a bit but she was too defensive and I like to get right into battle so she just didn't fit with me. All the characters are good though, it was pretty well put together but everybody always likes certain ones more.

As for those other two that replied: It's ridiculous in the fact that you couldn't find anything better to point out than such small things, I mean the loading? come on it's what, 10 seconds max and they give you cool load screens to look at. What about the enemies getting stuck in midair after dead or the magical land shark that seems to eat random people at any moment? I'm not some kind of fanboy that can't recognize good from bad, if there are problems I will point them out, every game has them. Also, thanks blueskies for the bad rep, you were my first and I will never forget you. Could have atleast commented though, I mean that's just bad manners.

What's more ridiculous? Me pointing out the small things.. or you making a big deal about other people's complaint? I never said anything horrible about the game, all I said was that all of the loading gets annoying. I think the game is great and I've already put in 25+ hours on it and I've only just rescued Professor Xavier. Only reason it's taking me so long is because I enjoy destroying every box, crates, machines that I run into.

And don't worry about my manners, it's perfectly fine.

You pointing out the small things. Apparently you also don't listen as you basically ignored everything I last said and continued to talk about absolutely nothing. If you are going to pick something to complain about atleast have something worth mentioning instead of just saying nonsense to hear yourself talk.

After reading the last ignorant comment of yours. I'm not even going to bother replying to your post anymore after this one. And for the record, do you really think I care about "hearing myself talk" on here? You're just being a hypocrite by replying to everything I have to say just to "hear yourself talk."

And on that comment about "talking about absolutely nothing." At least I was talkin' about the game on a thread about the game. What are you doing, aside from criticizing other people's comments? Oh wait.. I forgot.. you just gotta post something to "hear yourself talk."

The Diva

Cheap shot with the ignorant comment, and yes I will continue to speak as if you're reading this because, I know you will. The whole "hear yourself talk" thing was cute as well, I mean we all know it as a figure of speech but why have that stop you from trying to use it in a way to make me look stupid. And might I add that if I wanted to just "hear myself talk" then I'd have alot more posts in my almost what, three years here. Sorry for my passion of gaming and opinion on ridiculous comments disrupting your life, you may continue with your regularly scheduled programs.

On an X-Men Note: If anyone gets all Danger Room discs please write them down and post (I have yet to see a faq of it) or if you know where one is linkage, I'm sure it would help a hell of alot of people.

http://faqs.ign.com/articles/552/552265p1.html

The page lists the locations of every item that can be found (comics, danger room discs, etc.)

I heard that if you missed some of the danger room discs in previous missions. You could take your chance with the healer and might get it off his grab bag. Might want to save and load each time you do it though, just incase you end up with a shitty item.

WTF? The final battle is piss easy. Attack Kincaid/Master Mold as soon as the battle begins with all of your best non-fliers. As soon as he goes invincible, put a flying character on the team (hopefully you were working on their flying ability), fly up to the 3 platforms, ignore the Sentinels, activate the consoles and Master Mold should be vulnerable again.

Took me like a minute and a half. Easiest Boss battle next to Pyro.

Took me like two tries to beat him I think. I had a friend playing with me at first, and we ran into the "Dude, come this way, I think we have to destroy something to be able to attack him again". *Friend continues to try and attack*. "If you don't get the fuck over this way, I'm going to beat the living fuck out of you". *Friend continues to try and use mutant power on him* "Are you fucking retarded? You're not hurting him!!"

So yeah, we died and I went through on 1P and easily beat him.

I beat the game for the first time about two weeks ago, after being stuck on the Main Power Core stage because I had trouble taking out all those Spider-Sentinels. I Just kept using Storm's lightning while standing on the large platforms with the cylinders---though for some reason, they would vary in strength. Some you could kill easily, others took longer. 'Took me about 15-20 (spread out over a few days) to take out MasterMold. With my team not properly leveled up, Nightcrawler was my main guy, with his teleport flurry. Then he got taken out, and finished Mastermold off with Rogue. When I beat the game a second time, it was much easier, as I had a level 37 Cyclops with a powered-up Optic Blast, leadership, and Critical Strike, and a level 35 Storm, with a powered up Lightning attack, leadership, and critical strike, and just kept hitting L2 for combos.

Me and my cousin started playing 2 player the other day at the beginning and we played for like 20 hours in 3 days time and were on the last level.....sadly he had to leave so I have to wait like a month before we can finally beat it.

When we play we usually have in....Wolverine----Collossus---Jean Grey---Storm

They are the most powerful in my group and I just love being Jean and throwing them against the wall
