View Full Version : Eugene's Future?

With Eugene confirmed to be facing Eric Bischoff in a Hair vs. Hair match of sorts at Taboo Tuesday, does anyone else smell the return of Nick Dinsmore? I can see Eugene lying down for his Uncle Eric at Taboo Tuesday after some traumatic mind games by Bischoff leading into Taboo Tuesday. Eugene then gets his head shaven with a frown on his face to a lot of heat.

In the main event, I can see Triple H vs. William Regal or Shelton Benjamin in a match with Evolution barred from ringside, only for the newly groomed "Eugene" to come to ringside in support of the face against the man who injured him. Dinsmore then starts acting Eugene-ish while the face builds momentum, with a title change on the horizon, only for Eugene to look serious, enter the ring and start a beat down on the babyface, only for Evolution to run down and join in. The next night on RAW Nick Dinsmore tells us how gullable we are, and he would never go against the man who gave him a job on RAW, his uncle, Eric Bischoff. Dinsmore then either plays second fiddle heel, or he joins Evolution as "the future" and gives Evolution even more favour from the RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff.

Then at Survivor Series we either see the babyface screwed over in the Taboo Tuesday main event face Eugene, or a Survivor Series Elimination Match with Triple H, Ric Flair, Batista, Nick Dinsmore & Shane Helms vs. Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Shelton Benjamin, William Regal & Rosey.

Hasn't a thread about Eugene flicking the "off" switch and becoming normal been posted on here every few days?

Not really, no. :-\

Maybe monthly.

Did you really include Rosey in the face team?

He looks a lot different with a shave and a hair cut. They could repackage him as Nick Dinsmore (Eugene's brother or at least use a different last name).

I'd rather see him play the guy that pretended to be retarded. That would be a slap in the face, and insult the intelligence of the marks. I would mark out for this.

Yes I did. He's under contract, he puts 100% into his matches and you may as well use contracted talent to the highest mark.

Eugene will drop his retarded gimmick in the future but not this soon, I think they are moving Eugene to Smackdown for a while to see how the SD fans like Eugene there.

Oh, and the only reason if Eugene will ever one day drop the retarded gimmick is that if the character keeps the ratings going down, if the ratings keep going down 'cause of Eugene, Vince will force the character to drop to have Nick Dinsmore go under his name. That's why Eugene is moving to Smackdown because he's the one that's causing the RAW ratings to go down.

You know, they've never said that Eugene is retarded.

Well, if you drop his superhero gimmick in time and make him go on a mean streak, I might reconsider, but right now, he would not have any credibility to hang out with them. He would look like the guy who gets eliminated first.

Now that I think of it, you're right, storywise they never said anything about him being retarded. So (storywise) Dinsmore probably is faking it.

Do you think it could be the fact that Triple H is the champion again? Or perhaps the laughable and embarrasing to watch Kane/Lita pregnancy storyline? Or the fact that a man that was over huge (Benoit) has been pushed down the roster again?

Nah, me either :wtf:

Honestly, I'm not so sure Benoit was that over. He has a big fan base on the net, but a lot of casual fans I know think he's pretty boring.

I've always though Benoit was boring, great wrestler and all, but he's very boring on the mic. He was a boring champion. Randy Orton made a lot better champ than Benoit.

I have ears, and they work fine. No need for personal attacks.

I enjoy the hell out of Benoit, but there are people who get bigger pops than him. On top of that, it depends on where they are. In Canada, they're gonna pop the roof off for Benoit...and didn't it seem like they were there quite a bit while he was champ? Just my opinion. I thank you, and my ears thank you.

It's pretty obvious that Regal's gonna be turning on Eugene, judging by the interview on Heat.

Raw Interviewing Jobber Guy: "Eric Bischoff bald would be funny, but what if Eugene lost, what do you think he'd look like bald?"

Regal: "Why, don't be silly, Eugene is not going to lose, afterall, he's going to have ME on his side." *gives announcer a stare and walks off*

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....you watched Heat.

Just kidding, I saw that too, and I think I agree.

They've really dropped the ball on the William Regal face turn. I found myself really rooting for him when he came out and said Triple H had made an enemy out of him, now he's just a plain old good guy. I think they need to freshen him up somehow.

BTW, did anyone else laugh at some of the promo's Triple H cut making fun of Eugene, calling him names but noticeably trying to avoid the "r" word?

About the recent Regal Heat interview... yup, I see that double-cross coming soon. Maybe that is what snaps Eugene out of his "specialness" and has to take care of his mentor once and for all. It all makes sense to the point where the fans have to pick the type of match at Taboo. "Loser head.. shaved"... again, didn't Nick have a shaved head before?

That's how I predicted he'd turn heel and lose his current gimmick. Of course, I did this when he debuted... :p

Anyway, I agree, though, that this would be the best way to have him around long term.

You beat me to it. :p

I didn't see it coming when he first debuted, but when people started considering the character turning heel or leaving, I thought this would be the best way to do it.
