I created a thread not long ago about links showing up for no apparent reason. i did this and peopel said I spyware on my system. I d/l adware and something fucked my computer up, so we had to reboot.

Straight thing happened, when we rebooted, all of the stuff I had like pictures, links in IE all stayed but downlaod such as real Player and Windows Media were gone and my registry key for Kazaa Lite was gone.

i got them all back nonetheless and went on my marry way until I noticed the words are back again! And this time, they are highlighted.

Of course, this isn't the only word, as P2P and Spyware work also.

Anyway, I tried Ad-ware and it didn't work. I tried Spyware Stormer but you have to pay for that. And recently tried Spysweeper which didn't work because the things are still highlighted.

I don't want to have to reboot my computer because it's a big pain in the ass, but just in case I have d/l all of the on K-Lite to a disc, I have saved personal photos on photobucket, and have saved links onto a computer disc.

So before I reboot, can anyone help me out?

Back up any important files and reformat.

Download AVG , it sounds like you have a worm or something to that effect.
You could backup and reformat but you run the risk of the worm being in one of the backup files. AVG is free and pretty effecient.

You could also run HijackThis..just Google it. You have to be careful what you stop with Hijack but it will tell you what is running in the background.

Good luck.

Remember: Always run a virus scan BEFORE you backup any data.
