I'm gonna go along with SirRoundSound's topic, so if you haven't thumbed through it I'd suggest giving it a browse here: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21028
In this topic, however, I'm asking you to take a pro-active role and think of a creative, funny, or inspiring way to fix what you think was the biggest mistake the WWE made this year.
For example:
I think the WWE dropped the ball pretty early in the Lita pregnancy angle. It had the potential to be a pretty big draw at first, but eventually it started to revolve too much around Lita and less around the pregnancy itself. Adding "Gene Snitzsky" into the formula really just screwed the whole thing over.
Here's how I would have fixed it. --- Remember when Jericho and Christian were having their bet over who could get laid first? Well, Christian's attempts to screw Lita just kinda fell through the cracks as we the audience became more focused on Jericho's face turn. What if we threw Kane and Matt Hardy into the mix immediately after the Christian started focusing on Trish? Maybe the transition would be pretty quick and obvious (Kane begins stalking Lita, Christian feels he's in over his head and in a very heelish move, pretty much tells Lita she's on her own and that he's not going to get beat up by Kane for a freaking dollar.) So Christian goes on with his feud with Jericho, and Kane, Lita, and Matt have their own little angle going on. All's fine for the first few months, as it was in real life, but instead of ending with "Gene Snitzky" we find out through a paternaty test that Kane is not the father either. Lita then explains that she also had a one night stand with Christian a couple weeks before Kane began stalking her. (Technically speaking, that would have sped up the pregnancy by about a month and a half or so, but we're assuming that in typical WWE fashion, they've already pegged us as having forgotten that little detail.)
What makes this fix the whole angle? Well, for one, once Christian is announced as the father, it opens a whole can of worms in both camps. Lita is already married to Kane, who we find out is not the father, Christian has to deal with Trish, who has suddenly become very jealous, and eventually we can all start chanting "SLUT!" whenever Lita comes out and it would lead to a heel turn on her part where she has a gimmick change and rather than watching her try to act we only hear innuendo about her actions. Then we have mixups with Matt and Christian, Kane and Christian, Tyson Tomko and Matt, Tomko and Kane (maybe for one Raw...) and pretty soon we have the entire pregnancy completed and we get a segment in the hospital where Lita, Kane, Matt, Christian, Tomko, and Trish are all holding Lita's hand as she gives birth to........yes, a black baby. Where we take it from there is anyone's guess, but I've got a mental image of Teddy Long with a huge grin on his face if you catch me, playa. Holla!
Anyway, that's my example. I'd like to read everyone else's too, so go ahead and be creative.
