Anybody else pretty disappointed about the candidates for who gets to challenge HHH on taboo tuesday?

I'll be surprised if Edge gets any votes.

HBK vs HHH has been worn out so nobody will vote for that.

Beniot is not over enough (no matter what everybody on the internet says) to get the top vote.

Orton got the biggest cheer on the announcement and is being built up even though he lost his match, so it's pretty obvious no matter what the outcome is, Orton will win the votes.

It'd be interesting had they allowed fans to vote for any active memeber in the company to see the true outcome of what fans want.

Orton isn't on the list. Due to the fact he lost his match with Batista.

So we have:

HBK- Who we've seen face HHH time and time again. He should really be in the poll for IC contender.

Bentoit- Who is over enough. I won't vote for him though since I have no interest in seeing him do the job. I'd rather him remain undefeated against HHH.

Edge- Who is far from over enough to get enough votes... though I'll vote for him just because it won't be HBK vs. HHH and Bentoit wouldn't be the jobber.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Shelton take Orton's place and win the voting. Though I wouldn't vote for him due to the same reasons as Bentoit.

HBK shouldn't be in the running for any title. He should of stayed retired.

What Are you Talking About, Don't be suprised to see Vince show up, and Give Orton another chance, which allows him to go back into the voting

They don't want Orton getting a shot until Wrestlemania.

Wait, isnt it the people on the internet who are voting? Therefor, according to you, if he's the most over with the internet fans, he'll win by a landslide...

:shifty:

I'd imagin that Benoit or HBK will get it, unless it's fixed, and unless Orton somehow gets on the list...

Of course the WWE wouldn't give out the whole roster to vote for, since they have to have SOME kind of control over who fights Hunter. I mean, if they voted Lita or Coach or JR, that would just be retarded. It will obviously be Orton since the others don't really make sense, and Vince will make the fans feel important (and increase web traffic) by allowing them to vote.

At first I figured Orton would get back into the vote somehow, but then I got to thinking, assuming of course that Taboo Tuesday will actually be played off according to the voting, it's a good idea not to have Orton involving in the main event. If he went on to win the title at TT, it wouldn't mean that much, and if he lost, it would kill his momentum. After TT, the rest of the year should be given over to a feud between Orton and HHH wherein Orton receives no title shots and is continually kept out of the main event slot by Evolution, and finally goes on to win the Royal Rumble, leading to a big win at WM21. Maybe between now and then you can have HHH trade the title with someone just to break up the monotony, I don't know, but it's nothing but a good idea IMO to keep Orton out of Taboo Tuesday's main event.

Shelton Benjamin is gonna get in there somehow. 3 - 0 over HHH and he got a belt in the face last night. Watch for him to get the Standard RVD main event treatment.

I don't think/hope Randy Orton will get in the poll. They're trying to push him as the face chasing the title. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shelton Benjamin get in there, but it would show up if people didn't vote for him, and if he was in th emain event and had to job, thus losing credibility.

The smart angle I see them pulling is Chris Benoit winning. Triple H has never "beat" Beniot (2000 not included), Triple H is the champion headning into Taboo Tuesday, so I'd say both would have a decent amount if leverage going into it.

I don't think it sucks too bad. I personally wish that Orton, Kane, and Shelton Benjamin were added to the list, but honestly I'm going to vote for HBK anyway. Yeah I know he and HHH have went at it time after time, but I like HBK.

I don't really see Orton added to the list, simply because I have a feeling he'll be fighting Flair at Taboo Tuesday.

Do you think the WWE will actually follow the votes? I can seem them doing that with what Stacy Keibler wears, but I'm not too sure we'll have Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels even if the fans wanted it. I'm thinknig both Edge & Shawn Michaels might be thrown into some kind of IC Title Match with Chris Jericho & Christian.

I was actually thinking they're going to do something along the lines of what WCW did. Booker T was the world Champion and the people were to vote who his opponent would be on the internet. The fans voted for Sting, but as Sting was on his way to the ring he was ambushed by Goldberg. Goldberg went on to face Booker T and lost.

Something like that seems likely, too. I can picture someone taking out either three of the candidates, or all four then having Shelton Benjamin or William Regal take the main event cake.

Doesn't the WWE have the final say in this anyway? I don't mean to say it's rigged, but they certainly have the last word. So, I wouldn't be surprised if, like what was said above, Vince comes out on Raw and re-instates Orton as a challenger and he goes onto 'win' the vote. The other options wouldn't make sense storyline-wise and probably wouldn't draw.

Why can't Jericho be added to the list? I know he's I.C. Champion, but are the WWE afraid the fans might actually choose somebody they really like?

I'm guessing that that match will be given to anybody but Orton because HHH will most likely retain the belt, and WWE's current plan is to build up Orton as a babyface, and gradually work his way to winning the World title again.

Edge would be a great opponent for HHH because their work rates and skills are piss poor, and they shouldn't have to hurt the quality of matches against better opponents.

I'm kinda interested in this tweener character that Edge has been playing. It's something like a really talented guy who is bitter because he keeps getting screwed out of winning. Possibly the most intriguing character on the roster (unless you prefer baby killers and fitness experts instead). Seeing how his character will evolve after jobbing for the world title would be great. I'll vote for him.

HOLY FUCK I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING...
assuming orton is in he running to challenge at taboo tuesaday..we all know that he should easily win the fan votes that sets up Orton vrs. HHH...
Okay HHH is about to win and retain after a pedigree but Edge comes running in and spears HHH. Orton and HHH get up at the same time and...RKO!That sets up an Edge vrs. HHH rivalry for a while and we do get Orton/HHH at WrestleMania. Probably wont happen but remember Edge saying he will get HHH back when he least expects it. Any thoughts?
