O.K., yeah, everbody knows -- and hopefully knew -- that Richards was the "Mystery Woman". Tomko humiliates him and beats him up on ppv. And then.... BLah. Nothing. WHat the hell? I know this company has a decent amount of not finishing things they start (i.e., "Congratulations, Mrs. Young, it's a hand!" and Booker's mysterious "I still remember" notes) but what the crap? Richards was getting cheered pretty freakin' well for doing nothing but get disrobed and slapped around. He'd be a great face, especially against someone bigger than him. When he fueded for a month with Test, he was highly cheered. And then they just stopped and made him heel again on Heat. I'm rambling, but I'm just curious...are they really going to pretend the whole "Richards is a transvestite" thing never happened?

You gotta figure, tho. After putting STevie in such a crap angle, they had to find a way out of it, and I can't really think of a good way they could have managed that. I'm not giving any props -- I even feel dirty calling it a match. lol, Richards throwing Tomko by the scrotum was rather funny, tho.

This is an old post of mine that a lot of people enjoyed the thought of and I beleive could work so here is what I would do with Richards
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Right so I have heard a lot of people around here complain about how Steven Richards is misused and I agree and the other day while playing EWR an idea hit me.
At the moment Richards is running out to save Victoria well why not have this come across as another act by Steven Richards the dunce then have Victoria say she still dosent want him and to leave her alone so poor Stevie disappears for a week or 2.
Then after a few weeks there is a segment backstage and Richards is in the background reading a love story or something of the like nodding his head like he is getting ideas and even though the segments not about him the announcers make mention of it saying Richards has finaly flipped completely. Then in the following weeks Richards asks a lot of wrestlers how to do better with the ladys or some other ridiculously cliched thing like that and various wrestlers such as Flair, Venis, Orton, and Regal give him advice the faces could do it to help him and the heels could do it too tease him basicaly.
But he just keeps on going after advice and after a while say a month or so one night in Raw out comes the super suave Stephan Ricardo and the women begin to throw themselves at him but he only has eyes for Victoria but she still dosent want him so he goes on wrestling to impress her possibly even picking up the I.C title along the way.
Im not to sure where to go with the angle from there but at least it would give Richards a charachter and it could very well create a new I.C title contender. Also I think he could work as either a Heel or Face very easily in this role.

THat's actually pretty cool. I mean, hey, the guy hasn't actually had a gimmick since RTC. IT's about time he had somethin'.

For a minute there I was expecting to see Richards and Victoria team up against Trish and Tomko in a few matches. I see why they did it on ppv. You know something big and maybe they would finish it but the reason I have to believe why it didnt continue was look at the damn match. Crowd wasnt interested, fans at home were thinking that this was one of the worst matches to ever happen. It was just a horrible thing to watch. I wouldnt go back and watch it ever again. It was something that the fans proably wouldnt miss if it suddenly went away.
Sadly I would of loved to see Richards again on tv doing something but this angle would of been pretty bad for him to continue. I think we will not see him for a while and then he will make his debut again. Possibly saving Victoria this time with out the women stuff on.

I dunno, dude. I'm sure he'll redebut, like they always do. But if they want to "forget" about the transvetite stuff, they oughtta leave Victoria out of any new SR stories.
If they continued that storyline, people would turn off in their droves. They absolutely murdered that last PPV and they'll be known for it. Worst match of the year by a mile.

I'm agreeing with you. But like I said, I find it difficult to call it a match. Besides, part of the reason it got no reaction was b/c nobody knew it was coming, and it was a "surprise event" with a new guy bodygaurd type and a well-known that they've been misusing for 3 years. Nobody had a REASON to care.
No thats bullsh</>it dude. Nobody knows most of the matches for Raw and Smackdown every week and the crowds aren't silent.

When you go for a ppv, you go b/c you want to see certain people and certain matches. That's why there's such a huge pull. You know in advance what yo'ure gonna get. When you get a surprise from people who shouldn't be "stealing the show", you get bummed. I thot it was gonna be a quick stint when Tomko called him out. That woulda been fine. But it was drug out and bored everybody, especially those who wanted to get to the good stuff.
