El Vaquero de Infierno

I have come to the conclusion that this is a far better album than Damnation and a day. For one I prefer the more low-key strings and choir than the full blown orchestra and however big the choir was in Damnation. It has moments of beauty when there's just one lone voice and the strings going... kind of LOTR in a way.
I also like the guest vocals of Liv Kristine (Ex-Theatre of Tragedy, now Leaves' Eyes) on the title track.
But sometimes the rifts sound familiar to that of Damnation, and one seems familiar from somewhere else but I don't know where. As well as that, they seem to becoming more heavy and in doing so they are losing something in the process (Lacuna Coil, please take note). At times they seem to be doing a St. Anger in which they are dragging a song on longer than it need be. I think the title track suffers from that.
But overall, I like it.
For those who have listened to it, what do you think?
