At Road Wild 1999, Hulk Hogan beat Kevin Nash in a career match, thus Kevin Nash retired. Now, I wasn't following WCW that closely at the time, but by the end of the year Nash was back.

my question is, how did he return. I've been looking through Nitro recaps from ddtdigest (http://ddtdigest.com/updates/home1999.htm) (coll site BTW, which features every Nitro, Thunder PPV from Ocotber 96 to March 01), and I can't find it, thus perhaps you can help me.

Did he come running out ot help somebody? Was there a stip where someone brought him back? If I remember correctly he was sitting in the crowd at a Nitro or something.

Someone refresh my memory.

I just started watching wrestling around that time. I don't know your answer really, but all I remember about Nash in WCW during that time was him as Commish or President or whatever of WCW and he was in a wheelchair. I was like "Who the hell is this dude calling the shots?" Man I was dumb.

Yeah, well anyway, I have no answer.

I want to stress that I am going by what I seem to remember, which in this case may or may not be correct. I think after Nash lost that they were doing the 'powers that be' angle, and they brought him back as commish and shit. I think it wasn't too long after that that they started that whole nWo 2000 deal, with Hart, Jarrett, etc...

Someone brought Terry Funk back in as commish, then Nash challenged him for the commish position and won.

I remember him being back after only a couple of months, which made me sad in the pants. Sorry, I don't know exactly how he came back though. I usually don't like to leave comments like this.

Nash became a returning Scott Hall's "manager", but didn't have his manager's license. One night, Nash immitated Sid, and then Sid (at least I think it was Sid) attacked him, and so he talked to the "powers that be" and got himself reinstated like that very night or something.
