just to tell everyone that he has a bio on the wwe website now
alk about an inauspicious introduction to WWE.
Gene Snitsky’s debut match on Sept. 13, 2004 was one of the most controversial in WWE history.
With Kane still fuming over his Unforgiven loss to Shawn Michaels, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff basically offered Snitsky up as a punching bag to absorb the Big Red Monster’s frustration.
But Snitsky would punch back — with a steel chair, no less — accidentally knocking Kane into his pregnant wife Lita. She would lose the baby a week later, making Snitsky a marked man.
Snitsky has claimed from the outset that the accident wasn’t his fault, and he went a step further in an exclusive interview for WWE.com:
“I wouldn’t say [the accident] put a damper on things,” a determined Snitsky said. “If anything, I’d say it’s gonna help my career. Like they say, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. So, if this is what it takes to get my name out there and for people to know who Gene Snitsky is, then oh well, that just the way it has to be.
“I was called up to do a job, and I came in the ring and did what I had to do. Besides, it wasn’t my fault. She shouldn’t even have been in the ring in the first place. The way I see it, it’s pretty much her own fault that all of this happened.”
He also doesn’t seem to be affected by the controversy, recording an impressive win over accomplished WWE veteran Val Venis just two weeks after the Lita incident.

Well, at least he's not a total hoss (ie. talentless).

Not even kidding when I say this, I'm enjoying the hell out of the Snitsky character right now. I mean, it was a very interesting way to debut someone on the show. He looked pretty damn good in his match against Val Venis. He has that psycho/consitpated look that works. If only we could get him to stray away from the cue cards, I think he could be an all right addition to the RAW roster.

Snitsky is awful on the mic. I'm not really too sure as to how talented he is, but he's not impressed me that much so far. Hopefully his matches will improve... but please don't ever speak on TV again

Give him a break, it's not...his...FAULT!

Well his promos are pretty bad, but that sort of helps put him over as unstable. They could very well try to play out the idea that he's terrified of Kane, but refusing to admit it. I was mildly impressed with his real debut last week, so I'm willing to give him a chance.

Give him a break, he just started in WWE. I'd be nervous as hell if I had just come out of OVW and my first storyline was with an established vet such as Kane.
But he does look like a fish when he puffs his cheeks, doesn't he?

See, the thing with him is that he's so bad at talking, but it comes off as hillarious on TV. It's not like he makes me turn the channel when he talks. He has a funny voice. That "It's Not my Fault" line is greatness.

The Not My Fault line will haunt him the rest of his carear.
Now, if they book this right....we'll see what happens.

So far, I don't think he is any good. I don't think I will be one of his fans, or as I call them "Snit-heads". IT IS NOT MY FAULT! Maybe if he read poetry or oozed 90's machismo, he could be an interesting character... nah, not even with that.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how you can even say the name snitsky in a serious promo while keeping a straight face. They might as well let shawn micheals use his real name.
"Now coming to the ring, He is the heart break kid, Mike Hiccenbottom."

He's like Taker #2. I mean, notice JR called him a "dead man walking" and he kinda looks like Taker, and he's feuding with Kane... all signs point to him being Taker's successor. Really!
:shifty:
His name sucks, though, but he's an impressive looking specimen. I'll give that... like really big... moreso than the average hoss too.
Anyway, Gene's the guy who's hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

Its sad how "marks" badily judge new wrestlers only after a few shows. :n:

we are "smart marks", thank you very much :y:
Seriously, last night I marked out when Snitsky pulled out the lead pipe. That was so awesome. I love this guy.

What the hell is wrong with you? You seem to like jumping on anything remotely "smarkish".
We are judging the first impression, but it's not like it's automatically set in stone that he's useless on the microphone. Look at Matt Hardy. For years he was pretty crap on the microphone, but when the Hardys were split up and V1 got started his mic skill shot through the roof. Look at Christian. For years, he was just kinda there, but not all that interesting, but When E & C really got rolling his promo skill was something I waited to see every Monday. The point is that we make judgments based on what we see, but thse judgments change with changes in the wrestler, whether good or bad. I mean how much HHH bashing has there been in comparison to a year ago or even 6 months ago?

I don't understand how Stintsky is the bad guy in all of this lita/kane/ misscarige shit. He did what every wrestler does and hit a guy in the back with a chair. Usually that ends up in the fans cheering. The fans dislike Kane anyways, so why are they on Kane's side? It's so baffling

They're on Kane's side b/c he's the mourning father, having lost the only thing he's ever truly cared for...or somethin'. Besides, Snitsky is just too bad to cheer for. He may get better. I personally don't see great potential, but he may. But right now, he's a crap performer, and people don't wanna cheer for crap.
Oh, and "Snit Heads". Friggin' hilarious! :D

I was wondering about that, too. I could've SWORN Kane was a heel.
