RVD and HBK I hate to say aren't that good anymore.
RVD doesn't even do the same gimmick that made him the man. The F'N show probably becuae he is no longer the show.
HBK is no longer HBK he is "The Praying Warrior." He also too old and a shadow of his former self.
I like Orton because he will fight like austin but if he knows he is outnumbered he will cheat. So it could be said he has smart as he is tough. There isnt too many of those.
The gimmick that never gets old is Benoit, because he just wrestles and every wrestling fan loves to see a wrestler

Ok. I shall actually attempt a more than one line response.
Simon Dean: Has a fitness gimmick. May garner some heat by going around calling people fat and stuff, but it's not going to last.
Carlito: Has a "cool" gimmick. Can play to the fans how cool he is, and do cool things. All in all, his gimmick allows him to do a wide variety of things whereas Dean is limited to basically calling people fat. So my vote goes to Carlito.

I just lover Nova, and I know the guy can work. I'm not going to say that his gimmick will outlast CCC, but I do feel that the wrestler himself will. Even if it evolves a change of character down the road
Most definetly Carltio Carribean Cool

I'd assume Carlito Caribbean Cool - he is on Smackdown and Simon Dean will eventually get buried on Raw

I think they'll try to push this CCC into a Rock type role, Which MIGHT work. So I'm going for CCC, the Fitness trainer character won't go far IMO

Simon Dean's angle has been done. It won't last, it will crash and burn.
By the way, I've seen the reference to Colon. Is he related to Carlos Colon, the legend of Carribean Championship fame? He had some classic bloodbath matches with Abdullah the Butcher.

I dunno what it is but to me ccc just doesn't really have the look of a wrestler. Maybe its the hair or something i dunno, far as i can see if taker tombstones him he'll be the second person in history to pop straight up from it (first being hogan) because of the hair taking all the impact.

It's really a no brainer: CCC. He's a homegrown product.
Dean has a shot if e plays the gimmick perfectly and gets some good heat. He's going to have to go over the top with it though.
Yeah Triple C gets my vote. Not quite Razor Ramon, but I think he'll come into his own.

I was actually thinking the same thing. He can't get piledrived, ddt etc
i don't like how his theme says "i spit in the face of those who dont' want to be cool" while he's walking down the ramp, it seems so out of place
and am i the only one who thinks it's stupid that it took over a month for the US title to switch, and then it took one cheap shot with a weapon the next day to switch again? That's like building the titles' credibility sky high, then dropping it into a ditch and handing it a shovel

He is indeed the son of legendary Carlos Colon.

Yeah, the first couple of video promo things he had I thought were just commercials. And as for his music, it should just start out saying "Carlito. Caribbean. Cool." and then have the music, and definitely not that crap in the middle of the theme.

Maybe I"m nuts, but I think we're jumpin' the gun here. We haven't seen or heard Dean outside of the infomercial bit, so why are we judging a character we havn't seen in full effect? And yes, everyone keeps going on and on about the fact that there was once a tag team that had a similar gimmick. So what? Conan and Leno both have late shows on NBC. The difference is that Conan is entertaining.

Simon Dean is going to be the more successful gimmick because he would make a good heel and he would be a brilliant face and he can have a tag partner, some people love comedy Tag Teams (e.g Booker T and Goldust and Hurricane and Rosey)
Carlito Caribbean Cool is not going to last, yeah he did win the U.S Championship but I think as soon as he looses the title he will be gone from our TV screens forever, because what’s the point of his gimmick? All that he’s doing is saying to different wrestlers that there cool or not.

What was the point of Austin's gimmick? He just beat people up and flipped them off. Not saying CCC will become another Austin, but just because he's not a "trash man" or a "clown" or a "crazy informercial fitness trainer" doesn't mean he cant get over.
Dean's gimmick to me doesn't seem like it will have any legs. That chick who was hanging around Steph (forget her name) had a similar gimmick, and it lasted like a week.
I think Nova will get more out of this gimmick, but at the same time, I could easily see him becoming another Mordecai. Although with Nova, at least he has talent in the ring, so that'll help.

I agree here. All that talk about spitting and stuff interrupting the music is irritating.
Also, I like CCC better than Dean's character. If Nova can pull it off, it may end up being like Cena's rap gimmick.

That was Caryn Mower playing Muffy. Mind you that a lot of the segments that she did were so horrible, they didn't make it on the air. Mike Bucci might last longer than she did but it's a nowhere gimmick.

I think CCC will last longer because everything about him just screams cockiness. He's got hilarious looking hair, hes got that goofy smile of his, and his wardrobe so far is pretty flamboyant too. This whole gimmick is a veritable heat magnet. Simon Dean will do alright in his first few weeks, but because of the large midcard and ME card on Raw, he won't get pushed as much. Definitely CCC getting my vote.

Every single wrestler has a gimmick. It might be an extension of his real life self, but it's still a gimmick. Austin doesn't go around stunning people, flipping them off, and pouring beer all over them in real life.
