The original plans for JBL's gimmick change/main event push was to have him drop the "Bradshaw" part completely and use all of his real name as part of a neo nazi gimmick: John Fuhrer Layfied. The WWE were planning on hiring Alex Wright to be his second in command as leader of the New SS. The New SS was to be made up of Edge, Christian, Chris Jericho and Garrison Cade.
